Good people, inspection machine NOT RELIABLE broken 3 times I came back for a re test and it was over the allotted time frame of 60 days and now I have to pay again. Overall a trusted shop and the people again are nice and good but customer service was poor and the reliability of their tools are questionable from the given reasons.

We are a local livery service, and brought our bus in to Compass Auto for the first time for a regular service. They were very friendly, timely and helpful! Port City Limo will definitely continue to use Compass Auto! Highly recommend!

I hate having my day ruined. But the inspection technician at this place did it. I made an appointment for a motor home inspection at 3:30 today. When I arrived (at their dust bowl parking lot entrance, fit only for gravel trucks and construction vehicles) and made my way to the inspection entrance I was greeted by a flailing technician waving me off. I stopped and parked and made my way to the inspection bay door and once again was sternly reprimanded to “stop right there, do not enter this garage” I mean give me a break I’m 65 years old just trying to get an inspection sticker and I’m being treated like I’m a criminal. I meant no harm I’m just trying to give them my business. Anyway, I asked the technician when I could get my inspection and he told me that the inspectors were gone until 5 o’clock. I told him I had an appointment and he shrugged his shoulders. I changed my day all around to be there, and he couldn’t care less even After schooling me on the proper etiquette of approaching an inspection bay. I’ll take my business elsewhere where I’m treated with dignity and respect. This place sucks and so does the tech who needs to learn some patience.

I have been going to compass Auto for about 8 year's now and I won't go anywhere else, they're great mechanics and you can't beat there prices. They won't rip you off like some of the other shops in town.

Made the wrong decision by going to them for my auto inspection. They failed me for multiple items which for years I never had any issue and always passed. It's a pristine condition 2013 with low miles. I went back to the dealership at Amesbury Chevy and they said there wasnt any issues and some items where unnecessary judgement calls. Compass didnt bother to help me out other than tell me to call a number and contest it. Amesbury told me to come back and they would help me, I did, and I was passed in minutes. I get following state guidelines but there were clearly unfair judgement calls in addition to the lack of caring about establishing a good customer rapport.

Would not trust them if my life depended upon it...! How many names can they change it to? How many employees have sued them since 1990?? Dishonest business and dishonest people...
