The Firehouse Center is a great little local theater and arts venue. It is a small, quaint, and charming venue that holds approximately 200 people, where every seat is good. The intimate theater is well appointed, well-run, and clean, with comfortable seats. It is supported by the community and staffed by volunteers. The venue presents a variety of shows and well known talent, from play readings to concerts. It features a terrific art gallery in the lobby and a great concession stand. The location in downtown Newburyport offers a great view of the water and is near the boardwalk. Facilities are nice with elevator access, and there is paid parking across the street.
