The Modern Butcher is a locally sourced, whole animal butchery offering great quality meat, prepared meats, condiments, and sides. It is a sweet store with a bit of everything, including an area to have a bite, and they serve wine and beer. They are known for their phenomenal mortadella and amazing sausage. On Saturdays, they serve a 3-Way Roast Beef sandwich, widely described as the best North shore beef of all time, with a griddled bun, fresh pink beef, and a good ratio of sauces. It is not cheap, but offers a great price to quality ratio and fair service. The experience is worth the wait and is considered a necessity.
I’m very lucky to have Modern Butcher so close as an option for fresh food every time. Their version of a turkey gobbler is, possibly, the best version. Their roast beef speaks for itself. This place knows what they’re doing!!!

Best roast beef sandwich I've ever had! So tasty from the onion toasty bun, the sweet bbq sauce, and the meat so thin and velvety. If you haven't tried it, you ain't living.
