I am commenting on the Coolidge at Sudbury, where I have lived the past five years. A resident recently yelled at me to get out of the community room and cursed at me. I was told by management that they do not get involved in personal matters between residents and that if I felt unsafe, I could call the police. This has not been their past policy as I had a meeting in January with another resident and they were told that their behavior was not allowed.After losing my business due to Covid, management allowed me to see clients in the fitness room for the past several years now, but coincidentally, and I believe because I have complained about this they are telling me they no longer will allow me to see clients here. I wonder how this is now a liability when it has not been for the past several years. And why is that any more of a liability than having any visitor? The timing is apparent.

We use Barkan management as our property management company. I can tell you that barkan is one of the most well run management companies I have dealt with. They are very professional and really care about their clients. I own other units at different associations and I am always trying to refer barkan management! Thank you to the Barkan management team!

I live in a condo managed by Barkan and am shock with their disregard to everyone. They have a bike room where residents are supposed to store their bikes, bike parts keeps getting stolen and nothing is done. I had 3 bikes stored and when we went to get them, they were missing wheels, seat and even the bell! When I called management and spoke to PEGGY, she said "I don't know what you want me to do, there's nothing I can do" we've been asking for them to install cameras and her response is "we discussed it with the board of trustees and it's expensive and not worth to install cameras in the building "! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Packages get stolen, bikes get stolen, people come in and out that doesn't even live there and she said it's not worth it! What happens when a crazy person gets in and kill someone? They don't care about our safety, they only have their best interest at heart

Charge ur money: Immediately I'm so done with this company and determine to sell my condo soon. Just stay away any property managed by this Barkan

If I could I would give negative ten stars. I use to live in a building in Cambridge managed by this company. They are the scum of the earth. Horrible deseptive people. They are crooks. The woman who runs the building is a horrible person. I can't even begin the crap they did.

I live in a coop managed by them in Washington DC. they were fired as of May 1 and I would be clicking my heels up except I have been gone for months because I could no longer afford all the fees and assessments that have been added over the years since they started working there; which was partially driven by their mismanagement. they took control of the accounting system. one of the bldg assets was sold off quietly and without shareholder approval ; to pay for what? legal troubles that were generated when this management, within the first year of landing, fired the unionized long term maintenance employees to bring their own in; and treated these long term employees like dirt in the process. Then-the following year-oops there was a 300k Tax liability they had forgotten about when this asset was sold off. Then, contractors ripped us off and there were cost overruns. Did we get ripped off? who knows? I also witnessed a deafening cheer from the membership during a board meeting where it was announced that they were looking into "other options" besides Barkan. a comment about the front desk "help". I wish their only problem was that they were incompetent. they are also angry and passive aggressive. Expect retaliation and head games should you register any complaints about their services-justified or not. I could write a book about it but will be satisfied just to move on.
