“Stopped in for a last minute birthday gift and the staff was super helpful recommending the perfect gift for a 4 year old! Great selection of toys and crafts with a book section as well. They also gift wrap!”
“This is the cutest most whimsical little cafe I've ever been to. The styling is cozy and nostalgic of an early 2000's cafe like you'd find at Borders (the book store, when they were open). I got a hot chocolate, one of my friends got tea, and the others got coffee, and they were all out of this world. It's absolutely worth stopping here on a sunday morning with a book or a friend to play chess with when the world is waking up outside.”
“Really inviting, friendly staff, and well-kept. I loving stopping in here whenever I'm around, and it's a wonderful place to play magic and meet nice people.”
“This is a genuine local toy store. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They always have this year's hot toy, plus many traditional favorites. Easy parking at the Y next door.”
“Stopped inn just to see what was new and Elizabeth never disappoints. So many great options for gifts so I. Need to get back and make a purchase soon. Thinking I may find the perfect baby shower gift.”
“Such a sweet place with a wonderful selection of toys and cutesy items. I stopped in to find a gift for a family member who was getting out of the hospital and found the perfect thing.”
“Love this cute, little bookstore!! It’s a wonderful place for gifts for children. Their book selection is perfect and the owner gives great advice on what kids of different ages would like. They also support local authors—we actually met one in the store who drew a custom drawing for our son. It’s obvious a lot of love goes into this place.”
“I attended the fabric ornament-making workshop at Maxima Gift Center and absolutely loved it! We created beautiful handmade ornaments by pinning fabric onto foam balls, such a fun and relaxing process. Our instructor, Candace, was wonderful. She explained each step clearly and was right there to help whenever we got stuck.
I left with one finished ornament and a full kit to make another at home. Highly recommended!”

“A really cute toy store. Amazing people, amazing products. It’s always a joy to go to and I go out of my way for this one specifically due to their stock and personality. If the other Henry Bear’s Park stores don’t have it, this one is for sure to. There’s a puzzle actively being worked on when you go in, there’s a very welcoming energy.”

“I’ve been buying all of my baby/children’s gifts at Tadpole since moving to Boston 10 years ago. This store has such a variety of beautiful and unusual products at all price points that I always find something that I think is the perfect gift. The salespeople are beyond pleasant—personable and EXTREMELY helpful altho I can be very, very fussy/choosy! They are very patient and take time with every customer. And they wrap and mail gifts very quickly. I wouldn’t buy baby/children’s gifts anywhere else! A+ experience each and every time!”
“Lots of options. Very organized and youre able to try some fidgets before you buy them, which is nice. They have puzzles, games, fidgets, stuffed animals, Legos, etc. I will definitely be coming back but it was a little overpriced - I spent almost $30 on 2 items.”
