OPINION: I called NPT to ask about a very confusing email after having completed all the insurance and medical paperwork 2 weeks ago (electronically) and received today a subsequent email, almost 2 weeks later, right before the first appointment seeking all kinds of additional insurance authorizations. Had a very confusing phone conversation with someone who "refused to give me his name" and would not let us talk to someone higher up IE a manager, so I just cancelled my first therapy session. "Refused to give his name".....we just wanted his name so we had it documented that we cancelled so we wouldn't be mistakenly billed. I've never encountered such unprofessionalism in a medical related facility. He would not give me a simple answer about any of the details on the email and made it sound like we had to pay up to $220 up front "when we were told initially that Medicare would cover at least the first visit. I highly recommend Newton Physical Therapy. Jeff Goldman is an excellent physical therapist. I have been to 5 different PT offices in the Boston area over the past few years and none of them could improve my chronic back pain condition. Instead of just spending a few minutes on back muscle massage and mostly doing exercises as other PTs do, Jeff Goldman spends a lot of time with manual therapy for joint mobilization and muscle movement in addition to a few stretching and strengthening exercises at the office to be continued at home. Over time the manual therapy together with muscle stretching and strengthening makes the lasting difference. I am more than grateful to have found Newton Physical Therapy.

6 days ago-EditJeff Goldman makes me feel like he is my own personal PT. He has shown me exercises and stretches, soothed my painful swollen joints and tenderized my seized muscles...He office is simple and calming overlooking the rushing water and it's woody banks of Newton's Upper Falls. NCWC is an oasis right here in Newton.

After making some progress in PT for a frozen shoulder, It was recommended that myofascial therapy might help to get my shoulder to the next level. I sought out Jeff Goldman at Newton PT and had an excellent experience. He treatment is slow and gentle and he knows his stuff. My shoulder is nearly back to 100%. Highly recommend Jeff!

I have updated this review to reflect that as of November, 2018 Jeff 's new office location is 383 Elliot St., Door F, Newton Upper Falls, MA 02464 in the Echo Bridge Office Park. Jeff is on the 2nd floor in a shared space with Newton Chiropractic. Office: 617-564-4600 Jeff Mobile: 617-312-6964. Over the years, I have worked with many physical therapists. In my opinion, Jeff Goldman of Newton Physical Therapy is by far the best. I love working with him. He helped me through a very difficult time when I had several compression fractures of the spine and I was concerned that the pain would never get better. At this point, the pain is minimal and my range of motion is greatly increased. More recently, he is helping me recover from a fracture of my collar bone due to a fall. Much to my surprise, he identified that the underlying cause was a balance problem, so we have been working both on the fracture -- I have regained nearly full range of motion -- and on my balance. In addition, Jeff has helped me with episodes of neck pain. My wife also sees Jeff for physical therapy and loves working with him as much as I do. Jeff also greatly helped a friend I had referred. I know that Jeff enjoys working with patients after trauma or surgery and likes helping people with neck and shoulder problems. He is trained in cranio-sacral and myofascial release techniques. It's hard to describe how relaxed and free of pain I feel after Jeff treats me using these techniques. It's a little like a massage, but much better and the effects carry over, making it easier for me to do my daily stretching regimen.

I had been to a PT facility for my rotator cuff injury. After numerous weeks of cookie-cutter therapy, I felt I was getting nowhere. A friend suggested that I try Jeff's practice. What a difference! Jeff developed a plan that was unique to my situation and one that worked. He also spent a lot more time than the 12 minutes allotted at the other facility. Jeff worked the injured area instead of just having me go through a bunch of exercises and standing back and watching like my other therapist did. Now I have plantar fasciitis and I know Jeff is the one to go to. I highly recommend him.
