This store and Mel were a true find! I had tried in vain to clean some of my seriously tarnished antique brass items, and was equally unsuccessful finding someone who could help until I came across Mel Rosenburg, owner of Brass Buff Antiques. He knew immediately how to treat my items but also showed me how to properly clean and polish my brass belongings in the future. I am delighted with the results and meeting Mel was an added bonus. His store is also packed with a great collection of various antique and new brass creations.Esther

Absolutely wonderful service, took less than 3 days for him to finish a 20 piece set of silverware, and when I tell you my 80 year old brass/wood silverware looks incredible, it looks essentially brand new. Would recommend to anyone who needs brass repair or refinishing in a heart beat!

This guy is extremely rude and I would avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other places that can do what he does without the attitude.

Great Experience ! I had some old silver shears that did not cut. Within a 10 minute wait, Mel, the magician owner of Brass Buff cleaned and repaired them. It was simple and unexpected. I will certainly use his services readily again when needed.Carol T

Mel Rosenberg did a marvelous job with a piece that was handed down to me from my mother. He is so genuine and honest. I highly recommend Brass Buff Antiques. So many beautiful pieces in his shop.

I had the pleasure of discovering Mr. Mel Rosenburg and Brass Buff Antiques quite by accident. I had called all over Massachusetts to find someone willing to polish my 32" diameter brass Turkish tray that my Dad brought back from the Navy in the 1950's. No one was willing to do the job -- a couple of places never returned my call, and one lady told me that they are too busy for such a "small job." I had an idea that if the tray was polished I could hang it on the wall instead of using it as a table. But I had no idea how to create a mechanism to use to hang it (it is heavy). I found Brass Buff Antiques through a colleague at work, and phoned them right away. I was able to bring the tray to Mr. Rosenburg the next day, and within a week he had transformed my piece. It is now absolutely stunningNot only that -- Mr. Rosenburg was also able to attach a handle on the reverse that will enable me to hang the piece, OR to use it as originally intended, as a table! This tray has been in my family for a long time and now it can proudly be displayed as the great family heirloom that it is. Mr. Rosenburg did a great job, and was most kind. I highly recommend him and his shop (his shop alone is a sight to behold).Definitely knows his craft.

Mel polished the brass weight shells on my Herschede 9 tube clock. Knowing that the weights are hundreds to replace, I gave them to Mel knowing they would be in good hands. They came out with a mirror finish and are absolutely stunning. So happy with his work!

I brought two things to have fixed. Mel Rosenburg is very nice and a total expert on brass. He fixed my fire screen and gave me a good estimate to polish the second one. If you are looking for help with brass , call first and come here. Excellent service.

Great place for all things brass. I went in to see if my old lamp could be polished. The brass plating was gone, bad news. But for no charge the proprietor examined and experimented on the piece. He was very generous with his time and advice. I also got an interesting look at the extensive inventory of antique brass lamps. This place is well worth a visit.
