This CVS has been my pharmacy for about five years…. until today. I scheduled an appointment for a vaccination and received several reminders via email and text. The reminders encouraged me to arrive 5 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment. I dutifully arrived 5 minutes early. I was checked in and asked to wait. I waited and caught up on email. While waiting, there were certainly periods when there were no other customers around and other moments with frustrated and confused customers. After about 30 minutes of this, I politely reminded the desk that I had been waiting. 20 minutes later, still nothing, so I asked to be taken off of the “list” because I was leaving. Admittedly my voice was a little raised at this point. The pharmacist overheard and dropped everything and gave me my vaccine. He apologized profusely and claimed to be busy with paperwork!? Alas, I agree with other reviewers that there is something wrong at least at this store and maybe corporate-wide. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Local alternatives that answer the phone and provide customer service include Keyes Drug in Auburndale and Union Pharmacy in Newton Centre. No one should have to be treated like this CVS pharmacy does.

Pharmacy: Estimated 15 minutes to fill simple and common prescription. Took much more than that, and when we asked, it certainly seemed like they had just forgotten.
While waiting, we got to see many other customers, and I think every single one of them had a different bad experience.
I’m willing to believe that the people working behind the counter are trying their best and they were perfectly nice but something is deeply broken, and there are many other pharmacies in the area who don’t seem to have the same struggles.
The rest of the store is perfectly fine, with decent selection.

I called the pharmacy and had to leave a message. I got a call back in 5 minutes or less from Gabby the pharmacist! I was very happy and impressed! They are hard workers. I love that CVS

WARNING to anyone who is considering going to this CVS the owner has customers cars towed. I went into the CVS to the pharmacy and had to wait 30 minutes for the pharmacy, but when I left the store my car was gone and had been towed. The owner gets a kick back from the tow company and they will charge you almost $300 in cash to get your car back! BE WARNED!!

The people here are working their tails off, but it is always a mess. Not enough people. CVS, as a company, has taken on too much. There is a problem every time I go there and I have good prescription insurance, but have to use CVS. Wish I had a choice.

I came here 3 times to pick up one medication after Receiving a text that it was ready. The first time the whole pharmacy was closed for lunch, the second there was a problem with my insurance (despite being told it was ready) and the third I came and it was still not ready, I am now here wait 20min for a medication that was supposed to be ready 24 hours ago. It’s just a mess here and employees don’t seem happy to be here.

999 Watertown st. pharmacy is being sabotaged by their current unprofessional management. Time-sensitive prescriptions are not refilled in a timely manner - they always have a new excuse to fail their customers : claiming to be understaffed, medicine out of stock -no warning given, changing automatic refills without any notice etc.The woman who claimed to be their current pharmacy manager is either an imposter or just lacks relevant education and/or experience to be in this role (she was not wearing a name tag to confirm her identity when I talked to her. Is that not a minimal requirement for a professional working with sensitive personal patient data?? Even worse- was not able to produce any coherent answers to my questions). It’s a pity this pharmacy is being badly mismanaged at this location.
