“Adorable gift shop full of lots of fun things anyone in your life would like! I love supporting this local business and local artists. I especially love the kids book selection”
“What a find! The Crafty Yankee is one of those great little shops where you want to take everything home. It's just full of perfectly picked items that make you think, 'Yep, that would look great in my house.' It's officially my new go-to for gifts, and the fact that they'll gift wrap for you is a huge plus. You’ll find a great mix of things—cool jewelry, amazing-smelling candles, stylish glassware, and cozy sweatshirts, just to name a few. They also have the best selection of Lexington 250th anniversary stuff I've seen around. I honestly can't believe it took me this long to discover this place!”
“I have been looking for the perfect floorcloth for some time and none of the other online retailers had what I was looking for. No other retailers offer samples either. The product is gorgeous and the customer service was stellar! I am very picky and so delighted with both. I will absolutely come here first to look for more items for my home … great experience! Highly recommended!”
“I discovered this pottery studio back in February and have completed two class series so far—one beginner and one intermediate. Both instructors were incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I’ve learned so much and absolutely love this studio! I’ll definitely be back for more classes in the future.”
“If there is one place I could visit in all of Boston before I left Boston, it would be this store! It has the most hidden gems - ranging from transit merch to vintage maps about almost every place you can think of! It also doubles up as a great used books store! This place feels more like a museum than a store, and truly is the collection of a lifetime!”
“We rented a chuppah and talit from Kolbo for our wedding and also bought a Ketubah and glass from them and they were wonderful throughout the process! Pickup and drop off of the rented items was seamless and the Ketubah (handmade) and glass were beautiful and delivered in a timely manner”
“I love to shop at the Exchange. They have the best variety of handmade and commercial gifts and items. Every time i visit, the display is different. Their staff is warm and knowledgeable. I’ve always had a wonderful experience there.”
“Amazing!!! I had to buy my wife a 9th anniversary gift with a week left on the clock. I realized it was pottery and I thought to myself perfect! Pottery is made of clay and there is literally a store around the block called Paper & Clay! How could I go wrong,l. I’m clearly the best husband that ever existed to put this together.
Within 5 minutes I had my present picked out with a matching card to boot all in one place and the owner Leslie, who is amazing, even wrapped it for me!
My only regret is Google doesn’t allow me to give bonus stars!
Leslie thank you again, you preserved my marriage for at least another year?.

“Such a fun experience! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to show me products that weren't even on display. I left with things that I loved (all Pokemon products). There are a ton of Studio Ghibli things, so definitely stop by if you like that. I was surprised to see that they had Ponyo merch. Haven't seen that anywhere!”
“My favorite store in needham! Perfect place to get a gift or treat yourself. I love going into the store and checking out all the new inventory. I have bought cards, gifts, candles and many many accessories from this store.”

“I live and work in the area and have been shopping at On Centre forever. I love the vibe and selection of gifts, jewelry, handbags, clothes and more. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. JP is very lucky to have a shop like On Centre.”
“I miss this place! I lived in Boston 13 years and used to walk to this place: it was my go to “treat yourself” shop. I have so many crystals from here and goddess statues. Some of the crystals are excellent and rare pieces at great prices. I’ve got three stunning opals I got from here. I loved going here. The cutest shop.”

“While walking through The North End, I stopped in here just because it was appealing from the curb. Loft & Vine did not disappoint. I was able to find cute trinkets, jewelry, and gifts for me and my loved ones back home. Everything I found was unique from their felt flowers, cooky stickers, character ornaments, and more! To top everything off, the staff was lovely and made me leave with a smile on my face.”
“I’ve shopped here for years and my most treasured clothing comes from here! The women who work in the store are so sweet, friendly, and helpful. They always remember me when I come in. I miss the old days when they sold furniture, but I love the children’s section and have found some great home decorations in the current setup.”
“This store is so cute! Davis Sq if my favorite part of Somerville, it's very neighborly and this store encapsulates what I love most about the area! The workers are so nice, going so far as personally picking up some jewelry for me that was out of stock at this location at their sister store as I don't have a car. Will definitely be back, thanks!”
“This is an amazing hole in the wall. Their inventory is surprisingly large given their size. Items are authentic and reasonably priced.I’m case anyone is looking — they do have mehindi cones!”

“This shop is a gem in Roslindale! When possible, I tend to do most of my shopping locally. Spending money in there community ensures that is stays in the community. As the seasons change, so do the available items here. In the spring, I buy some seeds for the garden. The summer months have products more associated with that. As we head into autumn and winter, the focus shifts toward the holiday season. I always buy some Christmas gifts here for various family and friends. The store is always busy during Small Business Saturday and the holiday markets. They stock a variety of items such as cards, jewelry, home decor, clothing, and lots of localy-themed items such as coasters, towels, and glassware.Everyone who works there is extremely helpful and takes the time to talk with me. This is something that you generally don't get in a large chain store. In conclusion, this is a great store and comes highly recommended by me!”

“What a delight to come back to my home town and visit Sweet SurpriZe. Heidi’s store has something for everyone from clothing with the old Sachem logo and new logo to water bottles, draw string bags, candy and more. I highly recommend this store. Mim Quine, class of 76’.”
“I’ve been shopping here for years. There is never a shortage of options for thoughtful, unique and often local gifts. The store is a delight to explore and it is owned and staffed by delightful humans.”

“One of my favorite stores to buy gifts (for others and for myself)! Unique, beautiful, fun, gifts at a reasonable price ranging from houseware to bags and jewelry; good for Father's Days, Mother's Day, housewarming, birthday, baby showers and any other gift-giving occasion!I also did the decoupage shell making class (as a birthday gift for my sister). It was a fun and unique way to spend a Sunday. And if you haven't seen the decoupage shells that Hilary makes, they are beautiful! I loved getting to make them ourselves.Hilary -- the store owner -- is fantastic! She is creative and friendly and makes a lot of the items herself.”
“It's a great store and nice selection of products but a little pricy. I wait for the coupons to make my purchase and always visit their little mark area in the store as well.”

“I stumbled upon this store recently and absolutely loved it. They sell an assortment of household items and souvenir's. The store is quite spacious and very tidy. the staff were exceptionally nice and very welcoming. If you're going to support a local business then please consider it being Essex Corner.”
“Love the range of great artisan products and exciting events being held at this gallery. The staff are really nice and welcoming! They use all pre-cautious measures for covid-19.”
“This a beautiful shop with an amazing assortment of gifts. There is something for everyone! The owner and all of the staff are lovely and so helpful. I can't say enough about my shopping experience today! 5 stars for sure. See you again soon.”
“I recently did the Kintsugi workshop at Graymist and had such a lovely time! The instructor was very knowledgable and kind, and the class was small so that lots of individual attention could be paid to each student. And the shop itself is beautiful, with a unique collection of high quality crafts. Overall I highly recommend their classes and as a destination for a special gift, for yourself or others.”
“The owner is warm and welcoming. The shop is well organized and I finally found the quality item that I was looking for (a thick, warm hoodie). Great experience!”
“My wife is much more of a pen and stationary enthusiast than I by miles, but I do appreciate nice pens, carry useful and well made EDC items and recently fountain pens.
The store could not be better stocked and more charming and the owner could not be more friendly and knowledgeable! My daughter even collects little mouse dollhouse toys they sell there each time we stop by… We live farther away now but always make time to stop by when we’re in the area!
These are the local shops and people we want to invest in for our neighborhoods!”
