I am glad this Kiehl's exists, despite a less than glowing review. It's the more convenient of the two stores in the Boston area, and I do like a selection of their various products and customer service. This first visit did not live up to expectations. The store feels small, perhaps because of a low inventory. They were low or out of a number of products, and I heard one of the clerks apologize frequently followed by "We expect a shipment tomorrow." A lot of the space was devoted to displays of "holiday package" groups of products at a discount... but these aren't a great deal for me if I don't need or use even a subset of a package. The staff here were also more reactive than proactive, seeming to wait for me to ask the questions. They also weren't quite as generous offering samples, waiting for me to ask for specifics. But it is possible they were low on various samples too. All of this is fairly easy to correct, and I'm hoping I'll be more satisfied on future visits here.

Online pickup order to that store was canceled when I was already on my way from south of Boston without any explanation! I placed the order online so I didn’t have to deal with the rude and incompetent customer “service.” Ridiculous!

I made an online purchase to be picked up at this store. My mother in law went to pick it up for me with a snapshot of the confirmation. They were rude and condescending to her. They also had the audacity to "send me" a message because I "clearly had not shopped at their store before". If I didn't need the products to bring to a trip I would have personally returned them. Needless to say, I will not shop at Kiehl's again.

Rude older lady working at the store. Definitely felt like I wasn’t welcome there. Go buy your products online

I placed an online order for in store pick up. I first called upon opening to confirm my product was in store. The young man who answered was pleasant and very kind. When i arrived to pick up my product, that same employee welcomed my husband and I warmly as he assisted a customer who was ahead of us. When he got to us, he introduced himself as he remembered my name from our quick phone conversation. Joey was so helpful in describing products and their benefits to me- even going as far as to offering a decent sized sample in addition to my purchase. His kindness was contagious! My in store experience certainly set the tone for a great day. Thank you Joey! Happy Holidays.

I have had semi-good experiences at this location in the past but most recently a lady named Susan of the Kiehl’s Chestnut Hill branch helped me. Susan answered all my questions and was helpful. Susan also helped me to find comparable products to the ones I liked that were a bit over my budget, I found this really helpful and informative for me. This helped me to see what other products I would like in the Kiehls brand that I didn’t know about.

You could buy online, but you wouldn't be able to talk to salesperson or try new products. Unless you get special promotions online, why not visit the store and try new products and get new free samples? Samples are great for short trips. Each tiny sachet lasts 3-5 days!!

Having become a believer in Kiehl's by trying my friend's Facial Fuel, I went to see whether the staff could help with my redness and enlarged pores. Kerri recommended the Apothecary Preparation - basically, a customizable "tonic" that you make in consultation with the Kiehl's staff. To be honest, the price point raised my expectations, and I was ready to be disappointed. Three days into my new regimen, however, I'm happy to share that, while it's not magic, it's the most effective skincare product I've ever tried. Thank you!

Please do not base your own opinions on the negative comments. Some of the staff that work here, most recent hires, are actually very passionate, helpful and definitely NOT racist. This is coming from someone who is a minority. Just wanted to spread love and positivity (:

Racists, unprofessional, shameful 2 idiots working there. I couldn't believe the other reviews when I came in to leave mine. How are they still working there?? And how are they representing such a brand?? Headquarters need to know about these 2 witches. Either that or the entire company is responsible for how they have been treating customers. They offered $20 discount for Black Friday but they told the lady with me she needed to be a U.S citizen to get it. I am sorry WHAT? I told them if she doesn't get the discount I will not buy mine and they were totally okay with it. Do you even believe the words coming out of your mouth? You will be hearing from me formally and you will apologize for this. SHAME ON YOU morons. I can easily use a coupon code online to get it. They said it was a "company policy" and not personally them. I called the company and was told this is not true and I am filing a formal complaints. LIARS. Shameful.

Just shopped at Kiehl's. We knew what we wanted to purchase but had to wait 10 minutes since neither staff member seemed to want to work the check out. Not terribly friendly once they finally came over to help. We like Kiehl's products, but our in store experience makes us think less of the brand.

Many far better places to buy this company's products, if you are devoted to them. The way the staff here behave is absolutely appalling. With other shops literally a stone's throw away, that sell infinitely more high-quality products in a similar price-range, with amazing sales associates, I'm surprised this location remains open.

Accuse a customers of stealing, racist, rude, unwelcoming, and more. If you think about buying stuff here, try other stores. There are better options out there and you would get a much better customer service. Two ladies in the store are very very racist and terrible. If you want them to pressure you then go ahead and visit the store. If you don't buy from them, beware they might follow you and accuse you of stealing their products! Why would people steal your cheap and bad quality products? Come on being racist will not help you sell more trust me. Will never return to this place ever again and your racism just shown us how your company is such a disgusting business.

Racist, Disrespectful, Worst place to buy creams, unprofessional, and disgusting staffs. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! If you want to get a professional, caring, and helpful service goes somewhere else but here. Staffs here always act horribly disrespectful to customers. Beware of the two ladies here, they will pressure you to buy stuff, and if you are not buying, they will just stand there in front of you and be like are you getting it? *DO NOT COME HERE* Such a disappointment and will never return to this horrible place. The product is alright, but the service mind here is just unacceptable.
