“The selection at Dion's is great but more importantly the staff and owner are helpful and courteous. It's a much better experience than going to a giant liquor store.”
“Cork and Board is a fabulous addition to Newton Center. We are very fond of Ryan Gott, the owner, as he helps us personally each time we visit. He now knows us and tells us wines and beers we might enjoy accordingly. We also like the food selection and the gift section. We always find something fun (and delicious!) to take home. Definitely check this place out.”
“If you're into wine, 100% give this place a try. Great selection of wine for any budget or palate. Their weekly emails are a fun way to get introduced to really great wines from unique regions, and they're often deeply discounted.”
“Marty's is an institution. A vast assortment of wines, liquors, and beer, always including some substantial deals. Even if you expect all that of a large wine and liquor store, this will probably exceed those expectations. It might be se sensory overload.
What you might not expect is a counter making an array of sophisticated sandwiches (and generous lobster rolls at a great price!), nor many aisles of gourmet foods, some of which you'd have a hard time finding elsewhere.
Oh, and the real institution is Marty himself. In the 30+ years I've been going to Marty's, I can probably count on one hand the times I haven't seen him. He'll give you great advice if you want it. (So will the employees in the wine department.)”
“UPDATE THE MOST UNUSUAL wine shop in the Boston area, that imports all their own wines directly (many of which no one else imports to the US), and hidden in a basement in Newton. There was an article about them on Forbes: Updating because Ansonia is back open again, post-COVID, for the once a month 10AM-2PM Saturday "Owner's Hours" free tasting (typically 10+ bottles open). They do a good job explaining each wines backstory. You can find the schedule on their website here: The other three Saturdays of the month, they are open for browsing and picking up wines previously ordered. Easy parking in the lot out front. More details in my previous reviews below.”

“This is a great little liquor store that secretly doubles as a gourmet market with artisanal cheeses, crackers, pasta, meats and more. The store has a great selection of bottles with very good prices. Staff is super happy and friendly and it's always neat, clean, and we'll organized inside. Great parking right in front of the store. Highly recommend.”
“Super close corner store for me, but even if it wasn't I'd go here.
It has a pretty good selection at a decent price.
Can't speak to one off experience, but the staff is pretty warm and amiable with regulars!”
“Updated: I changed from 1 to 4 stars, because I went to the store few days later and the store manager did apologized for what had happened and made a refund for both packs even though I wasn't asking for it. The attitude does matter.
Original: Awful experience today at this store. I bought "blintzes with cheese" as it was labeled, but when I came home it was with mushrooms. But the worst part is when I came back to the store to exchange for the correct product I reaaly wanted to buy, I had to pay for 1 blintzes I wasted (that's how I discovered it was with mushrooms and not cheese) and I had to pay the difference between old pack and new pack of blintzes because one with chese were $2 more expensive. This this a customer service at Baza! I lose 30 min of my time to go back and I had to pay for their mistake!
Any normal American store will return the money and give you the right product for free in gesture of an apology and all caused inconvenience.”

“Family run business that I love to frequent. Everyone is very nice and they take the time to get to know the locals by name. The prices are a little higher than you'll find at a supermarket, but the kids always love to swing by for a quick treat after school.”
“Very polite. But isn't accept bottle redemption.Apparently most liquor stores aren't accepting returns... Something about COVID... How is this allowed to happen?”
