Newton Commonwealth Golf Course is a beautiful, exceptionally groomed, 18-hole public course located just minutes from downtown Boston. Designed by renowned architect Donald Ross, the course offers a short but challenging round of golf featuring quick greens and relatively narrow fairways. Established in 1997, the club is open to the public seven days a week and is available for outings to accommodate company groups, clubs, and family gatherings. Reviewers praise the course's excellent condition, with well-maintained fairways and greens. The greens are described as "pure and played fast," providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience. The course's layout, including the signature "road hole" on the 14th, has been praised as a highlight. While some reviewers note that the course can be difficult, especially on windy days, the staff's responsiveness and customer service have been commended, with one reviewer highlighting the manager's assistance after a tree branch fell on a customer's car. Overall, Newton Commonwealth Golf Course is a well-maintained public course that offers a enjoyable golfing experience for both locals and visitors to the Boston area.
Beautiful golf course, friendly staff. I wish you could rent better golf clubs but I get it since can't hand out a Qi35 to a 20 handicap but would like an option to pay more for better clubs.

Beautiful course. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens were pure and played fast. Challenging and fun round! #14 ‘road hole’ was my favorite!

Nice little municipal course and a residential area, can't give it five stars. Greens were being worked on at the time so they were kind of a little difficult. Short course cool layout
