Over the holidays my account was among those caught in a check washing fraud scheme folks have been speaking of the past few months. After trying to remedy the situation with my bank of 20 plus years I closed my account and visited TD Bank in newton. By this point I will say my partner and I were beyond frustrated as we had spent a good amount of time trying to remedy the situation with the prior bank with no success. Juan Malave Rivera greeted us upon entering the TD bank in newton and was our saving grace. He went above and beyond getting our account in order and making sure our business would not experience any more interruptions. Something our prior bank of 20 years was not able to assist us with. In today's impersonal/robotic world it is so refreshing to see individuals taking pride in their work. THANK YOU JUAN and TD Bank in Newton. I am not one to write many reviews always short on time. But Juan's customer service was exceptional and I had to say something!

Juan and Andrew at the Newton Centre branch are outstanding. They have helped me with several items and very customer focused.

I have been with them a since 2008. Customer service is 1 star or less. No one ever calls you back. Im unimpressed with their team and the lack of communication. I cancelled a line of credit and they kept charging me for 2 years. I have waited for 2 weeks for a call back from two different locations. After 15 years I have finally decided to remove all my banking and go elsewhere.

Goggle shows opening time on saturday 08:30 am but bank opened only 09:00 am. This is not good.

Terrible attitude and terrible customer service from the assistant branch manager. As soon as we sat down, she could not have been more unwelcoming and unhelpful. Avoid this branch if you can. The Acton branch is much better.

Horrible customer service. I came to withdraw money and they said they had technical difficulties which will take 10-15 mins to fix. I was waiting for over 45 mins in the car and no one called so I left. Finally, when they called and I said I will arrive in 20 mins right before closing at 4.35 pm. In order to speed up the process I asked to prepare $7000 in advance with no marks on them because I was traveling to Europe and my country discounts American dollars with marks on them. They refused to prepare money for me in advance even though I wasted over 2 hours on them. Bank of America and Santander never refused my request like that. I am waiting for 30 mins already while they are still trying to give me my money because they can’t get cash out. They are having technical problems again. I am flying to Europe tomorrow and all other banks are closed. It is 5.10pm.Update: the manager finally gave me $7000 but there were marks on them. I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me and demanded me to leave. He became very rude and hostile. This is his picture. Also, the manager lied that he saw me before but it was my first time in this branch. Also, he refused to update my address.

AVOID this branch at all costs!! Horrible customer service! I didn’t know it was possible to be indirectly accused of fraud on your own account? Even after showing ID to prove that it was my account... manger and teller were very rude, whispering to each other and talking to another customers as I’m standing there confused to why a withdrawal from my own account is taking longer than it usually does.

Terrible customer service. I have been a TD bank customer for 9 years and I have not seen this bad customer service Before. They told us that we can visit the bank by appointment only. Gave us a 12pm appointment. Made us wait for 45 mins but did not let us in and after 45 mins when we pressed for how much longer told us it will take another hour. Worst there were no apologies for loss of time. Really disappointed..
