The best grocery store in the area. Produce is always fresh and great quality. The lighting is comfortable, music is lovely, and staff are so kind. A real butcher counter is a plus!!! Even a lovely staff member who helps you with your cart! Big Y thank you for being here.

Big Y is a great store to go to for items & brands that other stores people grocery shop at can't ever get. Plus they're meat is always fresh and trustworthy. We won't buy meat from Walmart. We get our meat and other items from Big Y. Great store

Massachusetts own small business supermarket. Far superior to Walmart for groceries, with a large organic non GMO and locally produced selection of produce, meats, and a large variety of imported Italian dry sausages, and various types of ethnic food ingredients for everything from making texmex to homemade Chinese food. We always find several treats that are new to our palate.

The North Adams store is cramped with lots of things in the aisles that make it tough to get around. The choices are more limited compared to the Greenfield store.

No hand baskets is a terrible store policy. It makes no sense to push around a giant cart for a few items, especially when the self-checkout is not designed to fit a big pushcart without intruding on the adjacent register. I now try to avoid shopping there.

The associates are always courteous and professional at the same time and they don't have any problem explaining where u can find things or even show u where to find what u are looking for

I've been here a couple of times, and the bathroom never gets cleaned or at least have soap. It smells like pure pee. By the time you clean it yourself less than 3 min, employees will be knocking if someone is in there. Some items are out of stock. Great bakery selection and friendly cashiers. Managers look grumpy, but I assume they deal with a lot of bad customers.
Great gluten-free selection.
I'd say the cleaning in general needs to be improved.
