The Bear and Bee is a dreamy, quaint, and unique bookshoppe with a thoughtful, carefully curated, and extensive selection of new and used books. It is especially strong in activism, Black history, politics, literature, feminism, spirituality, and well being. The owner is engaging, knowledgeable, very warm, inviting, helpful, and clearly determined to cultivate a community space. Prices are very reasonable and amazing on used books. The staff is friendly and helpful, and special orders arrive quickly. It is a remarkable and enticing local bookstore with something for everyone.

The best. Bought my first New York Review Books titles here and now I'm hooked. Every visit is a gateway to the most enriching (often over-looked and under-appreciated) works.
