A true gem! My car was hit just before Christmas, and the mechanics and owner of AV auto repair were so accommodating, professional, and understood how important it was for me to get my own vehicle back. They stayed in touch throughout the entire process. Super helpful onall levels. I would highly recommend!

My family has been going for years and despite moving away and coming back after over a year away the owner still remembers my name and provides fast service that fit my schedule. We brought our RAV4 to AV as the Air Conditioner was not working . They failed to fix it the first time so we brought it back and they charged us the second time . When it still did not work after the second time Jim was defensive , he said he would look at it but did not offer to do it gratis. Bottom line is that we were charged twice for a repair that did not fix the problem; we are out hundreds of dollars and still do Not have working AC. They do not stand behind their work.We will never go back.Service: Air conditioning

I was referred to this place after my mechanic could not fix the lock on the back of my Honda Odyssey. He called this place, and they said come right down, they'd take care of it!They did a great job, taking care of me right away! No charge!! I know they do auto body work and restore old muscle cars. I would definitely do business with them again if needed! Thanks guys!

I have been to AV Repair 3 times. First was for repair to my van from an Ice fall, took out the front windshield, hood, quarter panel and headlight the work was completed as fast as the parts came in. Jim's communication was fantastic.The Muffler on the vehicle developed a leak and I took it to AV and again, fast courteous service and at a good price.Vehicle is approaching 150,000 miles and runs extremely well. Called Jim about doing a manufacturer recommended transmission fluid change, Jim asked if I could come in that afternoon. Brought it in and the work was completed in under two hours. There is a noticeable difference in the performance after the fluid change. But here's the good part, I received a call from Jim a day later telling me that he overcharged me, that he had read his mechanic's summary of work and parts used wrong. He told me he owed me money and he would like me to come back and pick up a check for the overcharge. WHO DOES THAT?Services: Painting

Super helpful, forthcoming and honest. They pick up the phone, call back and do what they say they will do. Had a tricky situation with an accident, insurance, etc. Totally lost with how it works. Jim walked me through all of it and his team did a great job on the repair. Highly recommend.

I brought my car here to inspect a low air pressure in my tire. Jim told me that it was time I replace all 4. I brought it back on a Friday afternoon to get new tires. I paid early, upfront 792 dollars for the replacements.I picked up my car later that night and knew something felt off. Thank god I made it across the busy rode to my parking garage when the front left tire flew off of my car causing significant damage to the front of my car to the point I could not open my drivers side door. Not to mention how shaken up I was after the incident. I was VERY lucky I didn’t hurt myself or someone else. If I had kept driving down 114 or my tire didn’t hold on as long, this would have been a serious accident. After a nightmare of trying to get my car towed, I returned it to the shop and spoke with Jim who said he would fix it.The next morning I was told my car would be repaired and my back brakes would be replaced for free for the inconvenience- not at my request. I did not want my back brakes replaced. He was not able to get me a rental car due to “high demand.”I was told that the workers were rushed that afternoon and distracted- they forgot to tighten the lug nuts…I expressed my frustration about how I deserved a bit more compensation for not having a car for 5 days, the damage my car had been put through as well as the severity of the mistake. I was met with condescending remarks such as “what could have happened and what happened are two different things,” “you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill” and “I’ll put your old tires back on if that’s what you want.”You would think a business owner whose negligent mistake could have seriously injured or killed someone would have a bit more pride and respect than that. I felt incredibly belittled and downplayed. Ironic how their website lists the word “integrity”… He even refused to cover my Uber expenses over the weekend and told me he would only cover the trips to and from work even though I had other plans I needed my car for.Not once did he ask to meet me in person, sincerely apologize, or ask for photos. He only seemed to care about himself and not the customer. He bulldozed over my concerns and was incredibly defensive.In the end he refused to pay for my transportation over the weekend. I only got my money back because he agreed to put my old tires back on and take back the new ones. His insurance will now take care of the rest of the damages and transportation fees.Needless to say, I will never be back to this shop. It was a complete headache and waste of my time. Hopefully this accident does not cause further issues for my car.I encourage anyone who contemplates using AV repair to please not jeopardize their safety. There are many other trustworthy mechanics out there who will keep you safe and not treat their customers this way! Safety is not their priority at the business. This was a significant mistake that I hope does not happen to anyone else.Service: Tires
