“I bought a Purdy roller from Amazon. This was a non-standard one and no roller cover will fit to it. I took it to it to this store hoping I can find the right roller cover. Store manager Dan was surprised to see this and said he never saw anything like this. I got to know from him that SW owns the brand Purdy. He gave me a standard roller for free and asked me to return the wrong one to Amazon while making a note for it. To me, this is the epitome of customer service. Thanks SW for hiring people like Dan!”

It's a warm environment for a hardware store, and as a woman taking on a massive amount of home renovations, I've never felt dumb or small when asking for help here.”
“My son turned 13 during "quarantine" so he wasn't able to have the big party with friends that he imagined would be the kick off to his teenage years. So, we decided that we would invest some time, effort, and money in updating his room to create a cool, age appropriate space for him. He picked a theme, and while we were rearranging the furniture, it was obvious that we needed to start the transformation by applying a fresh coat of paint to the walls. We visited the shop on Newport Avenue and had the whole place to ourselves. We picked out a few swatches, brought them home to see them in the everyday lighting in our house, and picked the perfect color. We returned to the shop and were still the only customers inside. We selected washable and durable interior paint that should hold up well in a teenagers room and had two cans mixed up. We also pick up spackle and a paint roller kit to make the task as easy and foolproof as possible. The young man who assisted us was helpful and friendly and took excellent care of us.”

“I needed to repaint my vinyl shutters and door and I read that the best paint for this is Benjamin Moore. Off I went to Triboro. They explained all of my choices and I picked my paint chips. After much deliberation, I returned and picked my color. I carried my paint home and started to paint. It was pink! Not just pink but screaming neon pink! OMG, what did I do? I rushed back to the store. Yes they could fix my chosen color to a better color. I went home with my new color and it was …pink, not neon, but still pink. Back I went again and they tweaked my color again. This time I got exactly what I wanted, a deep, rich burgundy. I think with all of the back and forth, I met every employee in the store. They were all professional, lovely and kind. They all worked so hard to help me. I just finished my project and I am happy to say that it looks fabulous. I have always bought my paint at the big box stores. Not any more. I strongly recommend Triboro Benjamin Moore. Even if you screw up your color, they will fix it so that you will be proud of the final result.”
