George and Dan are the best

December 2022 by Patrick Rogers
George and Dan have been great to work with. George has been accessible whether it is 8 am or 8pm when ever we have a problem and we have lots of them. Our business relies heavily on our pcs working and when they go down that is potential income revenue that we are losing so getting back up and running is vital. They have come in after hours to ensure we can perform our jobs. We have yet to have a problem that they could not fix including wiring our entire store, almost 35 computers and another 40 phones, all at night after hours so not to interrupt business. They are also always working in the back ground monitoring our system stopping any threats that come our way which with all the customer information we collect. It could be a nightmare if one of those hackers got their hands on this sensitive information. Thank you for everything, you have a customer for life!

I agree with the other review that they just don't answer the phone. That's fine. I can call someone else and they'll get my business

Dropped off my laptop for a once over while bringing in my external for an issue. Got my laptop back after 2 days, 2 weeks later and still waiting to hear back including a call 4 days prior (a Thursday) to this post stating it was being worked on. But Dan has my confidence in his ability and knowledge.Update 2: 3 1/2 weeks later and I have yet to have them call me back and no work seems to get initiated unless I call them inquiring about my property. It is now 3/1/22: nearly 2 full months later and a month since I last spoke with anyone and I've yet to hear from this place regarding my property. Arrived at 1:24 to a closed shop.Final edit: 5/1/22: I now have my hard drive back in my possession, non-functional but with every confidence the PCguyz did their utmost to get it working, communication is clearly my biggest complaint.

Brought in my PC after having problems extracting the heatsink. They were able to diagnose the problem, safely extract the CPU cooler, and quickly replace the cooler with a better one, all for a very reasonable price.

Has anyone ever experienced the sheer terror of multiple red flashing popups taking over your screen? If not your lucky. I knew better than to click on that or to call these fake Microsoft foreign crooks. Immediately I hard shut my computer down and proceeded to pray. I then reboot and get a red screen, then a blue screen. Proceed to reboot again and get nothing! I'm thinking I'm f..ed!! Quick google search on my cell for local computer repair pulls up PC Guyz about 3 miles away in the Roache Brothers plaza on Rt 138 on the Easton / Stoughton line. (There were quite a few nerds to pick from but what do I know except for recent reviews so I chose to go local and crossed my fingers.) On the way there I'm thinking about how I haven't backed up in 3 weeks. I have proposals halfway done. I have emails in draft that need to be sent. I'm thinking how much a new computer is gonna run me etc. As I stepped into the store Dan greeted me and we commenced to chat about what happened and what he would do. He is a thoughtful and friendly guy. Its a fairly small space with the counter and register on the left and a display case in front. In between there's a narrow opening to the rear. His workshop has a bank of computers and lots of plugs on the wall. There were a bunch of laptops on the counter. Obviously much can go wrong and eventually will. Someday you will need a shop and a n**** I can jump the gun and tell you now come here to PCGuyz if its within your radius. Dan knows his stuff and suggested he run an HP diagnostic which would take 4.5 hrs as I had lots of crap to go through. He said not to worry lol. I called the next day and he was then running a C drive cleaner and said that my hard drive was OK NO VIRUS! Oh boy I'm stoked. When it was done I came in looked him in the eye and said whats the damage thinking has to be 100+. Dan said that in reality all I needed was a tune up and the charge was $50. I'm floored with the outcome, and the honest and affordable service. Much like getting your car fixed your at the mercy of the service man and you just have to hope they are honest. When you find one thats a keeper. I pay Dan and promise him this review. He says word of mouth is best but I say Yelp is the printed word of mouth and I'm glad to help him any way that I can.

Horrible service and communication. I dropped my daughters Macbook Air off in late August and did not get it back until November 6th. The diagnosis a bad logic board. Why more than 2 months you may ask so did I. I called every 2 weeks with the promise of a call back and no one did. One time I was told that there was a ticket open with Apple regarding a failed update an this Mac was part of that. One again I was told someone would call me back. Finally I called in November and was told the owner who was the one who accepted this Mac was one one working on this and he would call him to get an update. 20 minutes later I was called to be told it was a bad logic board. I was giving my options and chose to pick it up rather than taking their options. Then I was told they would put it back together for pickup. Why would it still be apart after 2 months? Likely because this was the first time they looked at it. So when I picked it up today I asked why it took so long.....the excuse .....due to the availability of Apple parts due to Covid 19. This would be a factor for repair but not diagnosis. Check the dates on these reviews. This was once a great business that no longer wants to meet the needs of their customers or feels there is a need to communicate. Move on and fine a business that cares.

Dan really takes the time to explain what ever I need to know about my computer, peripherals, and networking . His rate is reasonable.

When I came in with my old Windows 7 I sure expected to have to shell out big bucks to replace it with something that could take Windows 10 but Dan was pretty sure he could install a new Hard Drive and then upgrade it to 10 and he did, everything was backed up and easy to find when I got the PC back. Office 2010 etc ! Dan was excellent to work with and he has real enthusiasm for his work which is so rare today
