The customer service at this store is very poor. Just one example of many- Staff told us to add a phone line that we didn't need to 'make our plan cheaper' and then added this line as a 'premium line' that's more expensive. Very long wait times on the phone, and after being on hold I was disconnected several times during hold music. Very un-helpful staff just trying to make profit at the expense of their customers.

I was a Verizon customer for eons...it had the best coverage around until they started losing towers faster than people change their underwear!
I decided to check out AT&T. I mean, it probably wouldn't be any worse than the service at Verizon.
I was happily surprised to find that it was far superior AND I was going to save $100 a month on all my lines! Scott and Nick at the Northampton location were patient and friendly; spending a decent amount of time with me getting all the i's dotted an t's crossed.
I'm super happy with my new service!

Stopped by the store with a problem. The solution was to add a line. Great except the employee who was there never completed setting up the phone.
I’m done with this ATT store. They are horrible.

As an AT&T customer for over two decades, I've always been willing to overlook occasional lapses in customer service, recognizing that everyone can have a bad day. However, after several disappointing encounters at this particular store, I find it necessary to express my concerns more strongly, especially as these experiences have led me to decide to switch to Verizon.
During my latest visit, the lack of helpfulness from the staff was particularly striking. I was seeking assistance, only to be met with responses like "we don't make the policies here" and "you only pay for support with your service, not your phone." Such remarks not only failed to address my concerns but also left me questioning the value of the support I'm entitled to as part of my service.
This isn't an isolated incident. A few months ago, an attempt by my partner to add her service to my line was outright rejected with the explanation that it couldn't be done, despite another store in Hadley, MA, accomplishing this with ease and excellent customer support shortly after. This inconsistency in service quality is concerning and suggests a deeper issue at the Northampton AT&T store.
I understand the challenges of customer service, and I usually avoid going to the store unless absolutely necessary. However, when even local repair shops echo the frustrations I've experienced, it's clear that there's a widespread recognition of the issues at this location. It's disappointing, as I've always preferred to resolve issues amicably and remain with a provider I've been loyal to for so long.
Unfortunately, the cumulative effect of these negative experiences has led me to the decision to switch to Verizon. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique, highlighting significant areas for improvement.

I have been a loyal AT&T wireless customer for 20 years.During a recent visit to this store, I was given incorrect information when I asked a specific question before upgrading my daughter's phone before her semester abroad. I asked again and again during our visit to confirm that we were making the right choice. I even called back the next week to re-check what I was told. Now, she is in Italy with no ability to get the local number she is required to have.When I went back in to try to solve this problem yesterday, another employee told the person to whom I was talking that he was wrong - and what I had been told over and was was indeed, incorrect.Their solution to this problem was have me mail my daughter an old phone, which likely would never arrive in Italy. I literally didn't even get an apology.I am happy to update this review if I find that this location is willing to help provide a reasonable fix to the issue they have created.

I went in a few months ago to upgrade my phone and they added a third number to my account without telling me and I am stuck paying for. Not the first problem I’ve had here.
