This is one of my favorite stores to check out. Most of my wardrobe I’ve gotten from here over the years. I always walk away with something cool. Even tho I live in NYC this is still one of my favorite spots to shop at.The selection has gotten a little bit more limited since the pandemic so I’ve been buying less, but I’m hope that there will be more clients and therefore more turnover of clothes soon. Oh! Please more funky clothes! Even tho I’m 43 doesn’t mean I want to wear “mom clothes” all the time.

I like the store but a problem is that it sometimes smells like Salvation Army and so do some of the clothes. Because it is consignment I think some people to go Salvation Army and Good will. They then bring in the salable brands/items. Not put out right away they get bagged in plastic with other non smelling items and they pick up the smell. Unfortunately I brought a couple things home I could not get the smell out without checking tips on line it depends on the fabric. I wish those who check out the items would notice those who have this. It is quite noticeable.

Found the perfect last minute dress for a wedding here! I can't wait to wear it again. I love stopping in on a Sunday downtown and seeing what new things they have in.

I am shocked no reviews have mentioned the store atmosphere - chaotic. Dead bugs on floor. There is dust everywhere, clothes hanging everywhere … the woman appeared to be working alone with no help. I see other reviews have mentioned lack of management - if this is the same business as advertised in Keene , NH hiring pay $9 hour… and clothes are overpriced and mishandled? Unethical business! Any other high end consignment shops in area?Katherine

I have been going to Urban Exchange in Keene and in Northampton for many years, probably at least 10, and the customer service and shopping experience have always been pleasant. The one disappointing factor is that I have very rarely found clothing in my size. Nonetheless, my mom, my friends, and I would always stop in just to check and see, usually, all leaving empty-handed because we didn't find things in our size.Just today I was checking the website and found out that they only accept consignments up to a size 14. That is below the national average American woman's size of 16, or XL. There just doesn't seem to be any reason in 2022 to reject consignments from accepted brands such as Eileen Fisher, Madewell, Johnny Was, and Anthropologie just because they are above a size 14, all of these brands have had successful size-inclusive campaigns in the past few years. Perhaps the argument is that there isn't a market for these sizes. To that, I'd say, if you stocked these sizes and accepted consignments in these sizes, you would very likely find a market.I don't write this review in an attempt to be vindictive. In fact, I will gladly amend it if I ever find out this policy has changed. I just feel disappointed in this policy, which is exclusionary and fat-phobic.

Nice selection of clothes, however, I did not feel comfortable with one of the employee’s ornery comments. Will consider going there again.

I have been going here ever since it opened in Northampton, and occasionally going to their Keene location. It's always been a must stop for me. I live in NYC and have been to many many vintage and 2nd hand stores and this is still by far my favorite. I ALWAYS find something when stopping in. I have bought countless staple items that I've worn for years. This store is truly amazing and I've found the best pieces of my wardrobe here. So much love for this store.

While there are often really great items in this store, the prices seem high, especially given that folks report getting very little from selling there. My real reason for not going very often is their policy of not taking sizes larger than 12. I mean -- come on, UE, have you looked at America lately??? And besides the policy, it's the scorn with which it has been communicated to me. I mean, my goodness, I was looking for a 14 -- imagine how dismissive they would be to my larger friends?! We non-sylphs also need clothing, and no life is enhanced by snobbery. Not cool.

Lovely organized consignment store. Great service! Nice selection of Eileen Fischer pieces and other middle range designers. Also my teenage daughter found some good pieces under $20. Would return!

BUYER BEWARE! Defective merchandise is sold at Urban Exchange and is not returnable once purchased. While the clothing sold at UE is very carefully curated, the watches sold here are not. At all! I bought a watch for $25, put it on in the store, set it and...nothing. The watch did not work. The sales clerk said it was absolutely unreturnable and that perhaps I could maybe buy a new battery. (!!) As there was another watch of the same type/brand (Fossil), I asked if I could try that one. It did not work either. In retrospect, I should have checked to see that the watch was working before purchasing but I'd never imagine Urban Exchange would sell defective merchandise. Seems like I was wrong! If you shop here, I'd advise checking any jewelry or watches very closely before purchasing. Not pleased. Won't return. BUYER BEWARE!
