This is the worst Ulta location I’ve ever been to. They take used cosmetics, scrape off the top and put them in the sales section for full price. There’s a woman that always seems to want to give me a shopping bag, and if you’ve ever talked to any Ulta employee, you know that they only do that for people they think are stealing. I spend a ton of money at Ulta so this is particularly insulting.

My appointment was scheduled for 10 a.m., and I didn’t leave the salon until 4:16 p.m. over six hours in the chair. During that time, my stylist bleached my hair twice in one sitting. I trusted her not just as a professional, but as someone who’s been my go-to hair and makeup artist for the past two years. We’d never had any issues before. I’ve always shown up on time, paid in full, and tipped generously in this case, $30 in cash and another $25 on my card, bringing my total to over $200.
At first, I told myself I was happy with the results. But once I got home and saw the back of my hair, I was shocked. It just wasn’t what I expected not after all that time, money, and trust. I was too embarrassed to say anything in the moment, so I reached out to Ulta’s customer service afterward. I wasn’t rude or demanding I simply and respectfully asked if there was a way to fix it, or if a refund might be possible.
What happened next completely blindsided me. Rather than offer to help or even acknowledge my concern, the stylist canceled my next appointment and placed me on the “do not book” list. After two years of being a loyal, respectful client, this is how I’m treated the one time I voice an issue?
I didn’t want to cause drama. I wasn’t looking to create a problem. I just wanted to feel heard, and have the situation made right. But instead, I’m left feeling disrespected, dismissed, and honestly heartbroken. I never thought I’d be treated this way especially not by someone I’ve supported for so long.

I had a hair appointment with Maeve for a full highlight. She was awesome!! She made sure to understand what I wanted which was really helpful. She was gentle with my hair, friendly, welcoming and we were able to laugh throughout the service. She was super professional. The salon area was clean and comfortable. Everyone in the store was friendly and willing to help as well. I was shopping afterward and one associate helped me look into perfumes, and the woman who checked me out was also super nice. A very good store!

They take the time to listen and respect your opinions, ensuring you feel completely comfortable throughout the process. They work with you to find the best makeup to enhance your features and explain how to use the products with such care and clarity. Their professionalism is unmatched, yet they remain personable and approachable, making the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Cindy and David truly go above and beyond—thank you both for your outstanding service!
