“We had a great experience with the 2 brother owners – installed a beautiful VT granite post and mailbox with lettering & a cedar cap. Their mailboxes in my neighborhood say ‘this homeowner is discerning & cares about the beauty of their property’. The workmanship and attention to detail is superb. Have admired their mailboxes expansion in our neighborhood for years whilst we kept patching ours every 3 yrs. Mailbox & post survived the horrible ‘25-’26 winter snows.
These guys are innovative and have developed great solutions like their stabilizer system/handmade bracket in back is the secret to the superior lateral strength, plus is an American flag holder. They developed a plastic sliding tray for a short armed person to pull mail from the back towards you. They use quality, heavy duty stainless steel hardware that spread the load out. They wax the mailbox so it’s super shiny & nothing sticks to it (use Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Wax spray for cars).
The mailbox system is not cheap, costs over $1K, but it’s beautiful, door works magnetically & easily, they wax it for you, put a cold patch & tamp it down hard if installing into asphalt.
An issue with address sticker bubbling & lifting off was fixed quickly.
A neighbor with a Yankee mailbox had plow hit it, with the bracket dangling & it was fixed next time we went for a walk.
This should be the last mailbox you order for decades.
They installed w/in a week of ordering. We used this process and got great service right away from the Yankee Mailbox owners last summer: Get order form from Angel’s Garden Ctr in Hopkinton, fill out & have Jeff Doherty, Angel’s owner, fax your order to Yankee Mailbox. If you have Jeff get involved, he can help with the communication part to the Yankee owners. We double counted something and Jeff corrected the error. I got email directly from [email protected] within a week. Definitely opt for the reflective letters, visibility helps the plows not hit your mailbox at night!”
