He is very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Over the past couple of years, we have been renovating a multi-family home in Dorchester, and Mark has been especially helpful in working with our contractor on quotes, making product recommendations and setting up delivery to Boston at a very reasonable cost. When we needed to order replacement windows and sliding glass doors, Mark referred us to his colleague, Tom, who specializes in these products. Tom quickly got back to us with a quote, placed our order and set-up delivery. When one of the door handles arrived damaged from the factory, he immediately ordered a replacement from the manufacturer. Mark has helped us keep this big project on track with his prompt follow-up and great communication with our contractor. I highly recommend Chace Building Supply. “Love this place! Guys are always very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection and prices are very good for building materials. Selection isn't huge, but I have found great tile and laminate flooring for at least a dozen projects, so they do carry items that are on trend, not last seasons throw aways. Definitely worth checking out.I wrote the above review at least 6-7 years ago.Here is an update that I'm posting on 4.30.22.Selection of products def isn't what it used to be. No more sliding glass exterior doors. Very minimal selection of hardwood flooring. Prices aren't that competitive. I saw a bathroom fan there for $237 and Home Depot carries the same item for $170.I didn't see garbage disposals this time. No shower surround systems. No bathtubs to order. Used to love this store. Was somewhat disappointed today. Yes, I know that every business took a hit during the pandemic. Nonetheless, sad to see good stores go down in value and selection.”

“I went to Lowe's Dedham the day after Black Friday, when stores were still packed. I found a dishwasher on an incredible deal that fit exactly what I was looking for; one employee was really struggling to set up the purchase for me, since there were none left in stock. They were about ready to give up when another employee, Sean Austin, came over and offered to help. He then spent a solid 20+ minutes with me sorting out placing the order and answering questions; since the vendor couldn't provide ETA estimates over the weekend, he gave me his email and said he'd follow up for me on Monday. He did follow up, and even managed to coordinate an accelerated delivery for me. After an issue with the install team (not Lowes' fault), he did extra work once again to ensure there were no hiccups for my installation. The experience made it feel like I went to a small local appliance shop service-wise - it's not something I've ever experienced at a large global retailer, and I still can't believe how positive an experience it was, especially compared to much less positive experiences at Lowes' primary competitor. I will 100% go to Lowe's for my next appliance thanks to this experience. Thank you Sean!!!”
