They (usually) get the job done but put up a lot of hurdles to getting medications cheaper (eg from Chewy for flea/tick) - they really want you to pay extra going directly through them. Office staff not helpful, and today was the final straw - we needed them for a minor issue with our dog and they told us to just go to Tufts as they have no availability all week (it’s Monday…) Not a dependable service I guess, so we’ve made an appointment elsewhere and will be switching vet providers.I don't see how to reply to your response so I'll leave it here. It was a woman - don't recall the name - that I spoke with. If you had availability and I was told you didn't, then I'm not surprised they didn't somehow log the call. We got an appointment elsewhere and are moving on. Thanks.

Brought my new kitten here and from the initial visit to neutering it was one of the easiest, smoothest experiences I've had with a vet ever. Every one was so extremely nice, helpful and extremely patient with an anxious cat and an even more anxious owner. I'm more at ease knowing if I ever have a question or concern they will be able to help. I can recommend them fully

I'm a recent transplant from Washington and needed to bring my dog in for his shots. I never write reviews but my experience has been so bad that I feel compelled to in order to keep other poor souls away from here. Here's been my experience thus far:1. Overpriced care (shots probably double the cost of similar care in Washington)2. Lack of honesty around pet ages to convince you to pay for expensive unnecessary tests3. Rude and pretentious front desk staff (I've paid them about a grand for basic care thus far and see them for a max of 10 minutes total, the least they could do is not be rude)4. Forcing me to obtain a physical copy of my Simparica Trio prescription (that they recommended) so I can mail it to Chewy instead of uploading the electronic copy themselves (presumably to encourage me to buy from them instead)Overall, less-than-average care for a higher price. I highly recommend going to a smaller and family-owned clinic as their higher quality of care and customer service provides them the customer base necessary to avoid cost-hikes and predatory practices. I will be moving my pet to another vet after my dog gets his last round of shots.

I’m a bit of a helicopter parent to say the least. I try my best not to be an annoying client, but sometimes I can’t help myself in regards to my fur child. Norwood animal hospital’s staff has always been so patient and lovely with the both of us, through the little “insignificant” visits to the bigger, scarier ones. I cannot praise everyone who works here enough, their considerate care for my dog reassures me every time he needs work done or needs to stay. Which happens quite a bit as he’s a senior dachshund. As someone who has worked with animals professionally for around five years now too, I can confidently say they’re some of the best of the bunch.

Pleasant and knowledgeable staff! Our technian was so cheerful and made coming to the vet a positive experience for us as well as our baby! It was nice to feel compassion and comfort in what is usually a stressful environment. Thank you for your care!

There are never any last minute appointments for sick pets. A vet practice should leave some openings for pets that need a quick sick visit. On the phone, They don’t even advise or ask what’s wrong, just “if you’re concerned bring your pet to the emergency vet.” Obviously, this is a big ordeal for a cat and not really the place for pets with just a belly ache that might just need antibiotics, a little sanitary clip, or anti diarrheal medicine. I’ve been bringing my cats here for years and it’s sad that I might have to consider another vet. This has happened 3x now that they are no help for my cats, leaving us to go to the emergency vet. You wouldn’t bring your child to the ER for an upset belly.

I have nothing but great things to say about here. From the front staff all the way to the vets. Thanks for everything you do!!!

The care of pets doesn't come into play in this review. It comes from the lack of understanding and inability to assist a customer, referred to them for a situation. Poor human skills and ability to get answers that could help a situation.

We brought our almost 1.5 year old golden retriever here for her annual checkup and the first thing the vet said as she walked in was your dog is “chunky”. We’ve never met this particular vet but my boyfriend and I were not happy with the way she handled this situation. Our female golden weighs about 61 lbs and we do not feel she has ever been overweight or “chunky”. It left a bad taste in our mouth about this place.

Everyone was really nice and the customer service was great. I had an issue with my bill and they immediately resolved it. The care for my pet was great.

I very rarely write any reviews especially a negative one. But I was a customer at Norwood Animal Hospital with our dogs for over 15 years. This is NOT the same place, new owners, staff and Vets. Very disappointed with them after a recent experience with Jessica on the phone, she is pleasant but not helpful!! I will not be going back!! I was upset with my conversation with her and I set up appointment with new Vet and asked to have the MR sent to the new Vet. Jessica was sure to add into the MR a negative slant on our conversation and of course left out my apology for being upset with the situation.Your response as expected did not acknowledge the unnecessary comments that Jessica added to the MR she sent to the new vet, if it is the practice to add every conversation to the MR why did she leave out the final conversation where I apologized for being upset with the situation. Also of note the "old" Norwood Animal Hospital had no issue with my request to refill my pets medication, they were more concerned with the health of my pet, than the need for a visit, which technically she was not due for until Dec of 2023. The real issue was that I was getting the refill through Pet Source and not through you.
