This store has declined rapidly since their remodel a few years ago. Lacking most of the organic product they carried before the remodel. Store has had broken floor tiles for about a year and they repaired them by putting a blue cloth over them! Definitely a walking hazard. Told the manager on duty who seemed very lackadaisical. Employees always seem to be complaining on the sales floor. So sad. This store used to be so great to shop at.

I went to shopping today and wanted to redeem a Butterball gift check given to my family from my husband's employer. I have been redeeming this gift check for over 10 years and haven't had an issue until I ran into the Manger on Duty (Raj) at 1415 Providence Highway, Norwood, MA. Raj did not give a thought to denying the return of my change when the order was slightly less than the value of the check. {Food cost $26.00 - check $30.00; change $4.00} Raj said to the cashier only redeem the check for $30 and give no change. That has NOT been the case in the past and I tried to explain that the check would be honored for the full $30 but Raj would not listen for 1 second and abruptly said No! His response was extremely rude, without customer support, and he showed no evidence of professionalism. Customer service is not important to Raj and I would suggest if you go to this store make sure you buy your food with cash or credit and get out without discussion. Raj is not customer friendly.

Atrocious customer service. The manager completely dismissed the cashier when they repeatedly asked for approval for a rain check.

Checking out on a Saturday, only 2 registers open. Buying a gift card so self checkout isn't an option, 20+ minute wait.

We went into stop and shop for last minute items. Prices much higher than shaws or big Y. Three lanes open with long lines. Our cashier walked away from helping us to answer questions at customer service that also had long lines. It was not a good experience. Record a customer feedback survey which was needlessly complicated redirecting customers to create an account. If you offer customer feedback survey don’t make them jump through hoops to do so. I avoid this location and this last trip confirmed this would be last choice to visit in the future.

Not sure of the complaints here. Store itself was clean and there were plenty of items on the shelves. Pretty phenomenal gluten free section for those afflicted. Good variety of fresh(er) foods available as well as the standard staples. Somewhat frustrating experience with the self checkout due to a keypad abnormality but got by it finally.

Picked up ham from the shelves next to the deli assuming it was packed maybe a day before, turns out it was over a week old. Also the hamburger rolls I picked up that were on sale turned out to have expired over 2 weeks (!) ago...Lucky I didn't get any food poisoning

Never have I been treated so badly in a store. First off their prices are through the roof, the service is non existent. Getting product from the seafood department and I was made to feel like I was bothering the attendant (actually I disturbed her conversation with another worker). Then it’s up to the checkout, only 1 registers open and there’s a line so I go to self check out. I start scanning my items and notice there isn’t a bag anywhere around, I ask the miserable woman working there if I can have one. She said I’ll get them for you when you are done scanning your items. I Finnish and she is helping another person that is having issues, I see bags over by her register and go to get one, you would’ve thought I was the biggest criminal on earth. She immediately came over and took the bag out of my hand. She refused to let me get it because she had to make sure I pushed the button for the correct number of bags. She then went on to tell me how many people “steal” bags and she needs to enter the quantity. Doesn’t that defeat the self service notion? I tried to explain to her that if in fact anyone was going to “steal” something it surely wouldn’t be the 10 cent bag, especially since my meat was over $20 and my seafood was $18. The dime for the bags wasn’t an issue. I’ve noticed most Stop and Shops have really gone down hill with service however their prices are in line with a Roche Brothers or Big Y and neither of them charges for bags and definitely doesn’t accuse customers of stealing them.

Great experience shopping here. Outstanding customer service. Plenty of parking. The staff really works hard to find you items and get you out quickly. They are short staffed so you have to keep that in mind. The staff and management are very welcoming. Deketa in bakery does an amazing job with food and service. Lisa, Kathy, Sara, Mike and the staff are so nice. Steve, the manager is very nice. I recommend this location.

I have shopped at Norwood Stop and Shop for at least 40 years or more. I really liked shopping there. I went there at least 90% of the time or more. Since the store was updated I am not a fan of shopping there anymoreThe aisles are not stocked with related items as the old ones were. The produce section/sections are seriously messed up. You have items I can't even reach because they are so high and it's hard to find someone to help except if I see a taller person around I ask them if they wouldn't mind reaching something for me. Sorry but I almost hate the Norwood store now. I frequently visit the Walpole store, Shaws or Big Y.They have a better layout in the departments and aisles.
