An amazing family gym and with something for every one of all ages, shapes and sizes. This community really cares about each other and owner and managers really support their members. Check out the awesome pool and giant hot tub under a removable bubble so you can be indoors in the winter and outdoors all summer! The BEST.

During the winter months the ventilation system for the pool is inadequate and the fan does not consistently work. As a person with asthma and trouble breathing the pool chemicals, I requested to crack one window open approx 2" in the back corner of where I take an aqua class for approx 45 minutes in the morning. For the past year and half it half it was understood and the teachers and other class members all knew and took no issue with it. Until today where I was first told it was "about too much heat" being let out and now another email that "it creates fog and a safety issue." This is not a welcoming environment for all unless you are in the "clique." It was a simple accommodation for a very short period of time. Disappointing. Apart from my issues with the faculty and lackluster management, I would like to praise aqua instructor Britt for her excellent classes, she's extremely deliberate in her class delivery and modifications for all levels.

Love the pool esp on friday. Guard was friendly. Sunday guard needs to spend less time on his phone playing game and pay attention to his surroundings esp there were lot of kids around.

I loved this gym. I was working in the area for 8 months, and have since gone home, but I actually enjoyed going there! It’s much larger than it looks from the outside. There’s a Women‘s only workout studio, too. And a pool that is covered in winter.Yes. It‘s older, but it’s clean and doesn’t smell!! There was always plenty of equipment to use as well. The front desk attendants were pleasant and helpful. I also had the best trainer ever - Joe Conti. He was completely understanding about my various physical issues and limitations. His workouts were careful and intuitive, and ranged from working out in the pool to floor exercises and stretches, to using the machines, weights, and tension bands. I cannot speak highly enough of him.If I lived permanently in the area, this would have been my gym of choice forever. I already miss it!

Post "COVID immobilization", my knees were shot and I was carrying too much unnecessary extra weight... Def needing to find a new cool health-focused environment/outlet that offers a variety of 'knee-friendly' work out options, and specifically a pool. The jacuzzi is a total added plus.Look no further as the Vanderbilt Club is all about this and offers more! The humans that run the club and all of the trainers are highly educated in specific health/body work who are amazingly supportive, fun, and caring energy that promotes me to go almost every day of the week.Shout outs to owner, Sue, and her staff Mike, Michelle, Margie, Mary, and Jimmy who make my arrival/departure super fun, and honestly, the fact that I like seeing them provides accountability which I need. And more shout outs to my trainer, Bryant Lane, fellow trainers, Julie & Joe, and class leads, Sharon & Kelly, who just rock and motivate me.The Vanderbilt Club feels like I have a new fun family who gives me positive vibes in getting back to healthy and mobilized living.I truly love going on a daily-basis and feel all the positive results of my GOATA-focused trainer, Bryant Lane, whom I work with weekly in tandem while also going to the Pilates, Yoga, and Stretch Classes. Bryant's energy mirrors that of the Club's overall vibe of feeling welcomed, supported, pushed, but never body or knee shamed. Like ever. Best trainer I've had and I've had many. The Vanderbilt has brought a much needed life improvement to our lives as our whole family can go which also is a win-win.I finally feel like I'm getting my body and mobility back, and yes I'm putting in the work but it's all about my surroundings and positive constructive energy that I gravitate towards.Highly recommend.

I recently joined The Vanderbilt Club and I love it. The staff and instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and show that they really care and want you to succeed. The members are very welcoming as well. I’ve always heard wonderful things about the Club and now I know it’s true.

We tried this place for swim lessons for my 5 year old this winter. The main advantage was the pool area and water being warm in winter cold. Here are the cons: in the 8 sessions that we had here, there was a new teacher literally every session! To the point we couldn't learn any of their names, because next time there would be a new one. They had no idea what level my child was, as it was their first time working with them, so they just repeated the same things for 8 sessions with no progress. Also the pool surrounding area and the shower look outdated and in need of major renovation.

Friendly staff and locally owned. Gym is not terribly busy and the prices are transparent unlike the big gyms.

I just had my one year anniversary and "Vandy" is the hidden gem of gyms...from the variety of classes to the camaraderie of the members to the very attentive staff, this place makes working out fun!

I only use the pool and it is very disappointing that they allow people to schedule private lessons in the most busy time during the morning lap swimming time. Lap time is first come first served but if you pay extra you get a private lane. This creates a club within the club of people that pay more to get extra privileges.

Been a member for a little over a year and I love this gym! Staff is very welcoming, plenty of equipment; and it never feels crowded. The only criticism I have is wishing they were open a bit later than 9pm. Other than that, a fantastic gym!
