store did not honor stated price matching policy. manager was not truthful and indicated to me they only price match Lowe's (not true). after arguments in store, on the phone and chat.. I was left very disappointed and ended up purchasing the product elsewhere. very bad business etiquette

I had an extremely rude encounter with a staff member. I was looking for a particular smart lighting device. I checked online before arriving and it said they had 8 in stock. When I looked in the location there were no more on the shelf. I could see that there were extra boxes above that could not be reached. It took me 10min just to find someone working in the store and when I went up to him he looked disgusted. I explained that I was looking for an item that says it is in stock but not on the shelf. I explained what the item was and he said "First of all, I don't even know what that is." Great start, knowing he's not very knowledgeable about common products. Clearly very annoyed, he tried telling me that what it says online doesn't mean that's what's in the store and he doesn't know how often it gets updated. Obviously this should be live and unless the remaining 8 items were in people's cart at that time, there should have been some in stock. He said "Maybe if you actually check with someone in that department, they would be able to figure it out." He was rude, didn't even try to help, and all I was looking for was someone to get on ladder to retrieve the items. Worst customer service I have received at a Home Depot...

Contractors and home owners please be aware........... iam a contractor and have been buying almost everything from this location for years, ordered a special entry door few months back, when the time came to install it the door had a few problems, size, finish, features, locking mechanism etc. tried contacting millwork and the gentleman in that department took my information to pass it on to the person incharge of special orders becky Shapiro, few days later she called me with the worst attitude on the planet yelling and not even given the chance to explain anything, as I tried to tell her what the problem in hand is. her response is iam not having this conversation with you. But just like everything else good it's bound to come to an end, it's a shame that this is happening in a place of business like this, and have to deal with this kind of business ethics. Will no longer be doing any business there nor I will place any orders.

I walked in and asked two employees where to find the stud finders. They both looked at me confused and asked me what a stud finder was because they had never heard of it. I would hope that anyone hired to work the customer service desk would have basic knowledge of common tools.

I have had consistently bad experiences at this Home Depot. There may be two staff members who are knowledgeable and not rude. Their services are not helpful, they do not allow reservations for truck rental, which renders the service mostly useless. They have also in the past claimed that I've picked up items that I have bought for curbside pick up, when I have not picked them up, and I've had to dispute the charges. Go to Lowe's instead and save yourself some headaches.

I had an online order which was cancelled in the store, however they called me to tell me that I had to come in person for a refund. I go to to the store and wait over a half an hour for them to resolve the 'IT' issue. It took them a half an hour just for them to escalate this to a manger. Horrible customer service at this store.

This is a review that describes the terrible customer service and management incompetence around a botched order by the Home Depots in Norwood and the two stores in Quincy. The problem started on 10/24/21 when I went to the Norwood store with the intent of purchasing a NEW Weber Genesis ii E-315 propane grill. It was a seemingly simple purchase except that the employees MISTAKENLY ordered me a natural gas E-315 grill. This problem was further compounded when employees at this store sent me a FLOOR MODEL OF THE WRONG GRILL. When I attempted to have the order sent back for the correct grill, it took hours of calling and negotiating with Norwood employees and the delivery truck missed two days of pickup. Finally, I had to speak to a Norwood manager to arrange a pickup by a Home Depot truck and employee. I physically witnessed the employee loading the grill onto the truck. For the following two days, I tried to track the arrival of the grill. I received the runaround for three days and Norwood managers told me the grill was sent to one Quincy store and then the other Quincy store. Finally, I was told by a particularly customer UNFRIENDLY manager named JEREMY at a Quincy store that the grill could not be located. He even wondered if I was not being truthful stating that the grill was never picked up. The implication was that I was hiding the grill in my yard! The Quincy and Norwood managers stated that they will only refund my money if I deliver the grill that HOME DEPOT HAS LOST. HOME DEPOT HAS STOLEN $880 OF MY MONEY AND WILL NOT REFUND ME. We have bought many appliances at Home Depot and mostly there has not been a problem. However, this is a real account of a purchase going awry and the inability of an incompetent system and rude and poorly trained managers unwilling to help you with the purchase. BECAUSE OF THE INCOMPETENCE OF NORWOOD AND QUINCY STORE MANAGERS, HOME DEPOT IS WILLING TO STEAL MY $880. MY WARNING TO OTHER BUYERS OUT THERE IS THAT THIS SAME SITUATION COULD EASILY HAPPEN TO YOU IN THIS CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY CHAIN STORE. I am finding other legal and financial remedies to my situation but I will never spend another penny at Home Depot and I would recommend the same to any of you who are thinking about major purchases there. BUYERS BEWARE OF HOME DEPOT! Update 11/29/21 When forced by my bank in a transaction disputation requiring a lot of documentation, and evidence that I bought a new grill from a local hardware store, Home Depot finally returned my money. My reviews do not change about Home Depot's poor customer service and management incompetence. I give it 0 out of 5 stars.

Scheduled delivery of Plywood on Monday for Tuesday. The time window was 6am to 8pm. Took the day off of work to receive the shipment. At 6pm we called to see what the status was. They said it was still in the window and told us to call back at 9pm if we haven't received it. We called back at 9pm no one picked up. Called Tuesday morning spoke to 2 associates to find out the shipment never went out on Tuesday due to having the wrong truck. We can't get the shipment until Friday. A simple phone call would have gone a long way.

I went to Home Depot Norwood today to begin my purchase of a kitchen full of Thomasville cabinets. I stood there unnoticed by three employees in the department for about 10 minutes. One woman finally asked if I needed help. I said yes I'm ready to purchase new cabinets. She was extremely condescending and rude from the start so much so that I left shortly after without purchasing anything. Deborah Labarge is not an asset to the company as she lost a sale of approximately $20,000.

Worst Home Depot and among the worst retail sores anywhere. The never fail to disappoint and no one person in that place seems to care. You need a new manager. Now excuse me while I find directions to the nearest Loews. They at least care about my business. So long HD. Good riddance!!!

Terrible experience there today, multiple associates not wearing masks. Noses uncovered. Evidently. Home Depot thinks the virus is a joke, associates refused to pull their masks on. I have photos as well. Poor attitude and dangerous to the public. I have been a loyal home depot customer until today. Extremely disappointed and horrified at the rude and selfish behavior and improper management of the staff.

This particular store continues to disappoint on customer service. Traveled to this store today because their website indicated 29 units of the product I was looking for were in stock. I would have ordered on line for pick up, but last time I did that it was days. So I go into the store, which by the way doesn't realize we in the midst of a pandemic, but that's a whole other yelp review. I asked an associate (kudos on that because they did have quite a few of them on the store floor), and unlike other stores the associate did not walk me to where my items were but gave me a vague direction. Okay, I'm capable and didn't need my hand held so I went to where my item was suppose to be...no luck, so I asked at customer service who yelled to "The Guy who knows where everything is"...great now I'm getting somewhere until he says they are sold out. Wow...I just happen to find the one item they had a run on that day. Bad luck. I showed them on my iPhone that they should have now 28 left, to which they said then there's probably a pallet up in the rafters with the product on it. Perfect....so I look at them and they walk away. And with that I walked to my car, drove to the Lowes in Plainville and found what I was looking for...silly me for continuing to go to this particular store...never again.

I will not rent from this store again based on the customer service. Representative at rental desk was not friendly, welcoming or eager to help me. I would almost say my need not rent equipment was an inconvenience to him, although i did not have any questions or take up too much of his time. Had i sent someone less understanding to rent equipment this could have been a much worse encounter.
