Only received my Federal return back and not my State. My Federal return was WAY less than I expected and H&R Block did a VERY vague job describing why I only got like half of what was supposed to be my federal return. When I called H&R Block and asked them why I hadn’t yet received my State refund, they did a really poor job explaining why I didn’t get my State return back. Turns out I was selected by the state of MA randomly and I had to fill out ANOTHER form. Why? I already filled out and submitted my W2, gave H&R Block all the relevant/necessary personal information on my end… (social security, bank info, etc) to make matters worse, they repeatedly called me and asked me to pick up my paperwork but they didn’t seem to care or follow up as to explain why I didn’t get my State refund back. I basically worked 11 months at $20 an hour and only got $600 back which is just b.s.
