Not actually a silversmith. They just sell modern silver jewelry. The staff is friendly but I drove a bit to get to this location because their store name was "silversmith"

This place is HORRIBLE I originally purchased some item on 10/31/23 by DEBT (they say you have 30 days return with receipt and today is 11/13/23) anyhow few days ago I had gone to the store and return items but while I’m there I selected something else so for the new purchases they used what I retuned and did it as an exchange and so I left.Today 11/13/23 I ended up going back to the Peabody store because I changed my mind (bracelet made my wrist dark plus I took one of the items to jewelry store was told stone was not real) Felicia who was very rude and kept saying I will not get my money back on my debt (my original form of payment on 10/31/23) but instead I am to get in store credit which is SO WRONG to do.PEOPLE BE AWARE When returning an item make sure you get your money BACK DO NOT use that money towards your new purchase even if they say they will do an exchange and apply that money towards your new purchases, because God forgive you change your mind your gonna get store credit you will NOT get your debt money back. This place has the worst customer service this Felicia kept repeating herself to me like 30 times like I’m stupid or something, stating I will not get money back on my card I’m gonna get store credit and that is final. Felicia said she was the store manager but she has NO customer service compassion skills. While she was humiliating me other employees found it funny…Please take my review seriously if you have a return get your form of payment back immediately….DO NOT USE IT FOR ANOTHER PUCHASE or EXHANGE because YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET YOUR ORIGINAL FORM of PAYMENT BACK THEY WILL GIVE YOU STORE CREDIT. Shame on you, I am also gonna report them to better business bureau. Felicia acted like.oh well and would not give me owner corporate address so I can file a complaint she said owner is in Hawaii. Imagine that plus she was like we have no corporate office it’s a family owed business. That’s why they get away with this at the consumer expense. Plus there is no return policy that says anything relating to what happened to me it’s not posted anywhere to the consumer. Receipt does not state this!

I have been a long time customer of the village silversmith having grown up in Peabody/Salem for 25 years of my life but today I came home from Canada for a visit and went to shop. I found 3 stones I was excited to add to my collection, purchased them, and then went to admire them in my hotel room once the day was done. But I found that my pyrite cube sample was broken and glued back together underneath where they had the price tag! Seems very shady and the piece was not discounted at all. I have no problem.buying a piece like that as long as the merchant is truthful and fair. Not sly and hiding their mistake to make an extra buck off of me. Seems very rude and unprofessional. Make sure you examine your pieces once they remove the stickers.

Initially I went in to purchase earrings. Bee was my sales associate. She was so helpful and polite! I then inquired about healing crystals and stones, since I know nothing about them but am dealing with an illness. Bee was incredibly helpful and not at all pushy. She truly wanted to help me to understand what I was looking at and what I was hoping to achieve. I highly recommend going to see Bee at the Village Silversmith at the North Shire Mall!

This shop is great for crystal and metaphysical jewelry lovers. They have small tumbles & raw pieces, to the larger statement pieces. The women who work here are fantastic. Paige, Stephanie, and Maddie were all super helpful, as well as the blonde girl who left and I missed her name! They're very patient and open to talking about metaphysical properties of all the different pieces, and they have it all! Definitely check this place out if you are into spirituality and metaphysical shops. They have reasonable prices and beautiful pieces, no matter the size or what you're looking for.

Long time shopper for many years, however experience felt has been consistent. Often upon entering, I feel as though I’m being watched by the staff, in ways I don’t particularly notice when other clientele are observing. This feeling often persists to the point i rarely stop in for short window-shopping and/or inquiries. In my most recent visit, while examining their fossil collection, and looking up their various attributes in various cultures. however, one employee question if “everything was alright?” in a tone that felt less asking need of aid more asking if something was wrong. I responded no but asked if this was the extent of their bone/fossil collection, to which she replied “yes, they’re authentic” with a strange expression. ok i replied, I thanked her, and made my way to leave. Before such, the owner further questioned along the lines of if everything was alright. I said yes, wished her a good day and exited, however a feeling of unease persisted thereafter. It is say to say this is not a new feeling, though from past feeling of being profiled amongst aforementioned clientele, I likely will move business to the salem location, but wished to make my frustrations known.

I went to village silversmith a few days ago with a friend and we were looking at the display necklaces. A middle aged woman who I believe was a manager and maybe had red or orange hair came up to us, didn’t even greet us & kept giving us this crazy look because my friend was trying on the necklace she was looking to purchase. She was rude and made us uncomfortable the entire time we were there, almost as if she thought we were stealing or something, every single response was sarcastic or sounded rude. I wish I remembered her name because I would actually hesitate to go back into the store if she was there because we did not feel welcome. A store like that should absolutely have a more welcoming staff and I have NEVER encountered anyone rude until this woman. She walked us over to an employee named Lily who was AMAZING and checked us out. the only reason i gave 2 stars was because of Lily. I’d ask to be assisted by her if anyone visits.

Where to begin...I recently visited the Peabody Village Silversmith for the first time in many months, hoping the prior, lousy visit was a fluke. It was not. The store manager was still rude and unprofessional and treated me like garbage. It was only her, the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful and actually acknowledged me. The manager could not be bothered, simply glanced at me with disdain when I entered, then turned away. When she did, grudgingly, finally speak to me, she looked like she was spitting tacks. Yet she greeted the rest of the customers enthusiastically and with a big smile. Just a bit obvious, huh? So insulting. In these difficult times, you would think a business would do everything it could to maintain their customer base, thereby turning a profit. But not here! I worked in retail for years and this was no way to treat a customer, period. I have also shopped at every location for years. I am done with this store for the time being and will have to think long and hard about the others. And I will be returning my purchase because you certainly do not deserve my money. There are plenty of other places that sell cute jewelry without the disrespectful service. You have a lot of learning to do, Village Silversmith, about customer service, professionalism and simple courtesy.
