The cover of this book would make you think you might be in for something more substantial, but with underdeveloped characters and predictable plot twists, this book is nothing more than a dime novel on an airport rack.

We Had The Sunday Turkey Dinners They Were Very Good! The Turkey Was Moist, The Mashed Potatoes & Stuffing, Corn & Cranberry Sauce Was Very Good!My Only Complaints Were Seating For Overweight Disabled People Doesn't Really Work & The Lighting Was Too Dark For Someone Who Has Vision Issues.

I gave three stars for now, but if food and menu continue to stay consistent over the next 6 months I’ll update to 4 stars. This 99 is a mile from my house and for years I’ve ordered mostly pickup takeout for my son and I. We were always happy with the food and reasonable prices. I mostly ordered their sirloin steak, baked haddock, applewood ribs and occasionally salmon for my son. Then Covid happened and the takeout menu became very limited. But the portions and quality went down hill , prices increased and many items I liked were permanently removed from the menu. Then add to all that, a poster in my towns fb group posted an unsettling video of their experience while dining in and I lost all desire to go there again.Fast forward to November 2023, a friend took me there for my bday lunch. She really likes the 99 restaurants so I didn’t have the heart to disappoint her. I’m glad I went, both our lunches were delicious. She had the country fried chicken and I had the baked haddock, mashed potato and asparagus . It was so good I’ve ordered it 4 times since then. Although the grilled asparagus portion is always much smaller for takeout compared to when I dined in and there is an up charge for that specific vegetable. Also the place was packed and service wasn’t great as our waitress was super busy, rushing around and kept forgetting things.Lastly, I’m having faith that they took care of the “problem” that was posted on fb. It’s an issue that could happen to any restaurant and the fact that it became a well known issue , I’d like to think it forced them to resolve it.

This was our first time visiting the Pembroke 99, we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendliness of the greeters. Our waiter, It was his first day, and even though he made a mistake, he was very pleasant, respectful, and thorough. The manager apologized for the mistake and gave us the meal free. Which we did not ask for but pleasantly accepted. We wish the new waiter lots of luck. The food was good And we will keep coming to 99, but probably closer to home.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated gluten-free no problem.

"The 99 Restaurants always the real deal" The Wife and I went out to Dinner with another Couple last night, this Restaurant never disappoints at all, started with: some free Popcorn, Cheese and Crackers (sad there not free anymore), some Stuffies, Cesar Salad, and Onion Soup for Apps, Main Dish was: Braised Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes, Onion Rings, Peppers, and Onions, she got the Haddock with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus...sorry no picture, overall our Food was excellent and so good, our Waiter was Alex, he did very well tonight, we love this Restaurant, definitely going back

11/9/23- The 99 restaurant chain has never made it back to pre-Covid quality. The menu is 20% of what it was pre-Covid. The meals are suffering from shrink flation, the fajita salad meal is literally half the size but cost more. It use to be a meal, now the 99 charges a meal price but the fajita salad is not a meal size portion any more. The chicken fingers look like they came out of a box and were over cooked. The toss salad was unimpressive. We asked for oil and vinegar and the waiter brought out a store bought bottle of oil and a bottle of vinegar. The chicken soup tasted like it came out of out a can and they charged $7 bucks for a bowl of can soup. I have given this chain a number of tries after Covid but there are better options out there for my family’s dinning out budget. Too bad, I have been going to the 99 for over 20 years, hopefully they can turn the ship around but it seams like they are circling the drain.
