This supermarket is huge. The prices are lower than family dollar or any markets nearby. They a lot varieties of groceries. I like the prepared food and bakery section.

Big y is a great market for your every day food and drink items. The selection is great. Prices are so so as the cost of food itself has increased. And the entree's that big y cooks themselves & thier pizza is just great,so tasty and filling. The big y has come a LONG way over the years. Now the STAFF/employees, that's a whole different story. I have noticed that a few of the guys that work there who are actually managers of some sort are VERY RUDE,just unnecessary rude.they don't say excuse me,walk and even stand directly in front of ya and God forbid if u have a question for them. NOT something I ever tolerate. And I do need to say that there was 1 ONE manager who actually DID help me. I needed a couple of milk crates and though he was busy, he still walked across the store and got them for me from the back but most managers are cocky & rude. A little too big for thier britches,I'd say. All in all and due to the food they cook and sell,I would recommend this store(if u can manage to steer clear of managers.

Have always gone to Big Y for my groceries. They have a wide selection at their deli and their meats and produce are so good. The people are very pleasant and helpful! Disappointed that they never have their chocolate Danish lately! They always have cheese or strawberry cheese. Please bring back the chocolate avalanche ones!!

Very large building. Lots of aisle space easy to get around great selection and good prices. I enjoyed my shopping experience. Also have beer, wine and liquor next door but in the same building.

Although the food there was good the prices are just so high you don't want to shop there anymore. I wish they go back to normal prices other than that there's still number one in my book

Prices were crazy high, but not as outrageous as Market-32 or Stop&Shop (yikes). I was probably there at a bad time, but checkout lines were very long. Not enough cashier's willing to work? Who knows.

Very busy store all the time. Could use more cashiers and service help. Bring your own bags. Limited bottle/cans returns machines and rules. Sales are usually very good. Produce is tops and very fresh. Sometimes shelves are empty of product. Great pet food/toys selections.

Terrible terrible prices. The produce is less than desirable. The management is a joke as far as corporate and the store are concerned. I feel awful for the sales associates as they have little to no direction or support from their superiors. Every once in a while they'll have a sale that's worth stopping by for but I recommend Stop and Shop way before dropping your standards and shopping at the North Adams Big Y.

I love the fact, first off, Big Y has an employee outside disinfecting the carts before customers grab them! Extremely important today. In my opinion BigY has gone the extra mile during this horrible pandemic trying to make it safer for the customer as well as their employees from the arrows in the aisles on the floor to the plexiglass glass separating us and the cashier. Sanitizer stations throughout the store. Spots marked off that are 6 feet apart for social distancing reminding everyone how important it is to uphold the social distancing recommendations. All of the above are just some of the reasons why I chose to continue to shop at Big Y without stress or a big concern of getting sick. Thank you Big Y

If you use Instacart during pandemic like me you know Big Y does not mark up the prices of items like other stores.I received receipts in my bags from my shoppers and the total difference is usually within $5. I use Big Y after comparing with other stores. Their own baked goods and culinary tours products are fresh and good. They also carry many local food like Soco ice cream. When we can't make a trip to Soco; Big Y is there for us!

People not wearing masks. Bagger was wearing mask over his chin and refused to put it on when I asked him to

With this craziness going on with the Corona Virus . Big Y is doing the best they can do by stocking the shelves . Yes there are some things such as toilet paper & other paper products that they don’t have but as far as meat and veggies they are doing a great job !!! Keep up the good work BigY (Pittsfield)
