Extremely limited selection of vehicles. Reserved vehicle was not available. Staff was friendly and tried to be as helpful as they could.

First time ever useing hertz due to my vehicle getting work done. I ordered a small sedan at the end it asked if I wanted to upgrade 89$ to a large sedan i opted yes that's OK. I arrived and was given a compact kia soul!!!!! Why did I pay extra for a larger car and was given a compact car? I think I should that extra money back. Only reason for two stars is it was very clean and I gave it a chance with the teenagers and they said it was just ok in size in the back seats..... not sure if I should get that extra money back or not

I called and talked to Amber Mulhern who turned out to be a fantastic problem solver. Enterprise nearby had canceled two reservations within hours of scheduled pick up. I called Amber and she asked what we needed and figured out a last minute solution that was great. She had the car configured for our needs based on the conversation as well. Excellent service, great attitude and a « let me solve your problem » approach. Great!!

I'd give zero Stars if it would let me but I had to give them one star to leave the review. We had an emergency yesterday, our air conditioner was broken and we needed a rental car while we got it fixed. We sat in the waiting room for like 25 minutes while the lady helped another customer and finally another gentleman came in and looked at us and said he didn't have any cars for us to rent. Mind you we could barely find a parking spot when we pulled in because there was rental cars all over the parking lot but for some reason there weren't any available. It definitely felt like they just didn't feel like doing any work. We went to Enterprise also in Pittsfield and they pulled so many strings to get us into a car on the spot. Do not pick Hertz go to Enterprise and skip the frustration. I mean why bother taking a chance that something's going to go wrong when you can just go to Enterprise and pretty much be sure it'll go right. I'll never go to this Hertz location again even if Enterprise closes. I'd rather go to another city or state where they actually want the business. We literally would have taken any car but they didn't offer us anything, they didn't even try to help whatsoever. Almost like they didn't give a care.

I now see why you guys have low ratings. Employees talking to you as if they making you a favour. Which is very ridiculous. Was there with my husband to return our rental from Insurance and this guy who attended to us has been the worse ever customer service rep I have ever met my entire life. First he was on the phone with someone when we got there and he was very rude. He turned to us and bring same energy on us. He even threatened my husband that he's gonna meet him on the streets of Pittsfield because he had to talk back to him. He used certain words in his language which we never understood but anyone will know he was insulting us. Never will I recommend anyone to that location with such kind of employee attitude.!!! Sucks....

Do not make plans that require renting a car from this place. I made a prepaid reservation arrived on time to pickup to find an office full of irate people who had all been told the office overbooked by 17 cars and No One will be getting a car today and that nothing will be done to issue refunds or grt more cars locally we can all call corporate if we want. Total amateur hour business operation. Got a family member to drive me 1.5 hours to Avis in BDL to get a car.

The 1 star is for Hertz, but the counter agent Trini gets 5 stars. Hard to completely fault Hertz when 3 people don't bring back their cars on the scheduled day, but their booking process is a nightmare and their call center in Asia is a joke. Trini saved the day by going up to the airport and getting a car for us up there.

Would give 0. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with not only a car rental place but customer service in general. Reserved a car for 10 am today and when we arrived at 10 they said they didn’t have any cars available. The manger trainee Nicholas Brown said they could have one within an hour and he’d call us when it was ready. He never called us back. He was also very rude and disrespectful when we asked him questions and would walk out to the garage on his phone for minutes at a time without giving us any update. The worst customer service agent I’ve ever dealt with him my life. The branch manager Amber Mulhern was no better as she scoffed at a women in front of us at a question she asked.
I would recommend no one ever go here to rent a car unless you don’t want to rent a car then this the place for you.

Should be rated zero stars. It was literally the Seinfeld episode from the '90s except they had no cars. Very good at taking the reservation. Very bad at holding it.

Excellent customer service from Amber at the Pittsfield MA location. Prompt, friendly and had everything ready for me at both pick-up and drop-off. THANKS AMBER!!!
