I like the layout of this course and it's a plus there are three 9's. It do not like the price increases and it is definitely not worth $78 for 18 with a cart. Walking 9 used to be $25 and now it's $38 as well. I'll just go to a much nicer course and pay the same rates, if not less

78 dollars for bad fairways, bad tee boxes, atrocious pace of play. I wouldn't even play here for free if they offered it. Skip out on this course.

Can't believe we are playing golf mid. November. Nice day difficult to see your ball with the angle of the sun.

First time playing here and chose the Middle course. The holes were interesting, but the fairways are really burnt out. Tee boxes were so hard, it was difficult to get a tee in on some holes. Greens weren't bad.
They have a grill that serves breakfast and lunch that has a small bar.

The tee boxes, greens, and collars are only green parts of the middle 9. The course is much older and reminds me of melody hill (in harmony RI) in the 90s when the wrech ran the course. It's pretty beat up. The 2 other 9s (it's 27 holes) seemed a bit greener. This is a practice course. It would actually make a great hill and valley course if it were redesigned. Unfortunately, it's basically a goat pasture with 27 putting greens for now. It was once probably great. And could be again someday. For now, I'll save my irons from harm and stick to the better courses around the area.

Course was in terrible shape. Fairways were awful, even landing it in the middle of the FWY leaves you with a 75% chance the ball goes OB into the trees. TBoxes were a disaster on most holes. Course has great potential, and greens were nice - aside from the first hole which was the smallest green Ive ever seen. To charge $75 felt completely unjustified. Really disappointed.

Not worth the price. $75 for a below average course. Tee boxes are useable, fairways are horrible. Greens are ok. For the price I would expect a lot more effort and money put into the course. Avoid this place. Way to many better places to play.

Made an 18 hole tee time over the phone for 8:53 tee time..Arrived a little early, paid the senior rate of $48 and started on 1 middle course. Played at a good rate 1 1/2 hours for 9, went to make the turn and there were four groups on 10. Went to talk to the gentleman in the pro shop about our situation. Was informed that a league was scheduled and they shouldn’t have given us a tee time.I explained that nobody told this to us when we made the tee time or we wouldn’t have come. Was informed that we could follow the 2 groups on the tee at the North course or play the same nine, following the groups now in front of us. Was finally offered a 9 hole rain check. When I asked if that meant coming the next time and paying half of the $48, he said that is not the way it works. The rain check would count less than $12 towards the 18 hole play. Never in my 50 years of playing has this ever happened to me and at less some effort made to make up the inconvenience the course has imposed on our group. Needless to say the 65 minute drive to get there will be put to a course where the customer means something.Totally disappointed in the effort made in making up for their error…

Booked 9 holes to go off at 5:30. Website had conflicting information on use of carts. Stated carts were only available up to 3 hours prior to sunset and had to be back 30 minutes before sunset. Well apparent that is not even remotely close to true. Was told the last time to have a cart for 9 holes was 4:30. Explained I was a twosome playing 9!! They then explained it would take me 3 hours to get through nine holes walking. Yet they don’t change their intervals between tee times knowing that they are forcing everyone to walk. They also couldn’t connect the dots that by limiting everyone to walk it stalls the course.
Well we go and tee off knowing that we are walking. First green on middle looked nice. Good tee box and all. Fairways seemed a bit hard but was fine. That was the last nice hole. The rest of the middle course is a parking lot. No need to hit it far when you can just let the ball bounce 100 yards down the rocky dirt filled fairways. The course is not taken care of anymore. Just years ago I remember crews would always be out grooming and taking care of the tree lines. Sprinkler head damaged, open, sticking up out of the ground. I’m almost happy we walked because cart paths looked like it would shake the fillings right out of my mouth. All water stations have been removed. It’s nice they had the cart girl but when I’m walking where the heck do I put the drink. It creates limitations.
I enjoyed playing golf only because I was out playing with my son. If you have nice clubs that you want to keep nice, don’t play here. The surface is far too hard and you will inevitably land in a dirt rock patch in the middle of the fairway. The decline of the course is staggering. As I was finishing up, walking to the car, I got to see golfers on the course still trucking along in their golf carts. The same ones I couldn’t get to play 9 holes. Basically all it told me was they were just as lazy in the front of the house as in the back.
Caution should be used when booking here. This is my first ever review of anything so that should tell you how bad of a course this has become. I’d give zero stars if allowed.

Your experience at heather hill course will depend on which set of 9s you play I played the North and then the South and my experience with both was vastly different. The North I quite enjoyed with wide fairways leading to a stress free front 9. My only gripe would be the greens are pretty small but the greens are in great shape throughout the course you can tell they spend most of there time and effort making those nice. Fairways had a few dry spots but not bad. Would def play the north again. Now the south was a different story. Overall the tee boxes are in bad shape but who cares you are teeing your ball up anyways, I would rather them keep spending there time on the greens like they are. While the north is wide open the south is surrounded by trees leading to tight holes and fairways. Wouldn’t recommend for beginner golfers as you will loose lots of balls. Honestly has an interesting layout but the whole experience was ruined by how dang bumpy and rocky it is on the cart part and everywhere for that matter. Driving a cart around that 9 was Mahem as I almost drove into a crater and lost half my drink. If they would spend a pretty penny to smooth out the cart path and fairways the experience would have been sooooo much better. A lot of potential there for a great 9 which all the nice views but in its current state I would not play the south again unless I was walking. Either the owner or manager let me on with no tee time which was cool.
Rating:
North 4/5
South 2/5
Overall 3/5

I’m not the type of person to leave a review but here we are…. My main thing, for the price this course is not worth the money at all. There are plenty of other courses in the area that cost less and are much better maintained. The cart paths are unusable, I’m taking huge holes, the fairways were 50/50 some destroyed some not… this goes for the tee boxes as well. The course is filled with rocks like everywhere… If you roll slightly off the fairway good luck the course is not groomed well and the brush is extremely thick. You can not bring any sort of drinks out with you, that’s fine but you don’t have a drink cart? Every other course I’ve been to has one not a big deal but again for the price this is crazy. We played middle and south for 18 maybe the other course is nicer? Last thing is the fairways that are shared by two holes… people hitting into you is one thing but good luck figuring out what ball is yours when the group next to you hits a slice onto your fairway. Overall I won’t be back unfortunately unless they make some real changes. The extra two stars are for the friendly staff everyone was very nice and professional!
