Allan from Power Up Boston is your man and is phenomenal. He took my computer, replaced the old liquid cooler with a new one, wrapped up the old one in a box and packaged it to go back to the factory and keep me updated the whole time from start to finish. He’s honorable with his word, efficient, organized and all around I would give him an A+. He’s my new computer man and for all the time he took he charged me most reasonably and fair! 5 Stars for sure! Grateful to have his expertise. Iris? Thumbs Up for Power Up!

I used Power Up twice to fix the screen on my laptop.This first time they damaged the screen when installing it. However they did replace it with a new screen.The second time they told me they need to replace the screen. I thought it would take 2 weeks to get the part and the cost will be the same I paid 8 months ago. I had my laptop over 3 weeks. I called after hours and one of the managers answered. He said the technician will call the next day but I had to follow up after 2 days. When I called to follow up, the technician said that he ordered a screen but what I needed was the shell. Two weeks later, I followed up and I was asked to come in to pick it up. The technician said he ordered the wrong screen the first time. Then he charged me more for the repair equal to half the cost of a new laptop. He said he doesn’t recommend a touch screen.I was disappointed and will not go back again. I’d rather pay more and be told the time it takes to fix my laptop and cost upfront.

Went for a laptop screen replacement. Repair work was done quickly which is appreciated. Disappointed that the screen is not square (leaving uneven gap at the top and small portion of the bottom blocked off) and the bezel is peeling off. Seems no new adhesive was used to secure the bezel. For a simple screen replacement I expected a bit more care. 5 stars if I didn't need to remedy this

I do not like giving a small local company a bad review but my experience with Power Up Boston was one of the worst that I have ever had. Brought my laptop in for a battery replacement and was told it would only take a 1/2 hour. I dropped my laptop off at around 1 pm on a Wednesday and did not get my computer back until 2 weeks later. First I was told that the new battery was a dud and they would send it back and have a new one in by Friday. I was told I could take my computer home since they put my old battery back in and to bring the computer back on Friday for the install of the new battery. When I went in to get my computer I was told it was working fine with my original battery but it wasn't. The keypad and track pad was not working at all. Was then told that a cable must have broke when replacing the battery. They would order a new one and I would have my computer back by early the following week. They also said that they had to reinstall my operating system cause it got messed up somehow. Well the following week comes and I am told that they need to replace the keyboard and track pad since they were also damaged when they tried to replace the battery. I was then told they would get the parts in with 2-3 days. Well it took another week before they got the parts. Finally 2 weeks later I pick up my computer and when I get it home one the keys is broken, doesn't work. Needless to say I did not bring it back to them to fix.

When my business email was hacked, I didn’t know what to do. I reached out to Power Up Boston and they had me fixed and secure in no time. The service was fast and professional. They were able to do all the work by accessing my computer remotely. I would highly recommend Power Up Boston for any of your computer needs.

Completely fab. Had a horrible experience with the Geek Squad telling me "buy a new computer". In a matter of 30 mins he found problem and fixed it. They are my new IT guys.

OMG! I needed to switch my laptop’s hard drive to a solid state drive to boost speed. I thought I’d have to drag myself down to Best Buy and slog through their “process.” Then it dawned on my to check out local repair places. Boy, am I glad I did!Power Up Boston on Samoset Street (inside Beantown Vape) took care of me in a few short hours. They had my part in stock and were able to migrate all my data quickly.Alan helped me out tremendously, answering all my questions and giving me confidence I was in good hands!You won’t go wrong using Power Up Boston for home or business. ?

Received great service at Power Up Boston by chris and Al. After I added an ssd drive to my computer and cloned the hard drive to the ssd one,i started having problems with my pc and ended up with a black screen. Chris and Al diagnosed and fixed the problem and my computer starts up in about 12.5 secs. Its never been running faster. Its a very clean and well organized shop. Highly recommend them.

This is a great company. Chris worked on my laptop and my husbands at the same time remotely, no time wasted and Chris fixed all the kinks. They offer so much more as well. They did surround sound for a friend of mine as a surprise for her husband and he loves it.We will be using them as our IT people. Chris also offered to help my husband set up his web page for his business as we dont have a clue. Thank you Chris its a pleasure doing business with you.
