“We have a few high mileage dependable vehicles. However, no matter how dependable, little things need repairing here and there. We usually go to a shop that's much closer to home, but when it involves a job that some shops won't touch, Shabos of Paxton is our place. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I made an appointment for my drivers window that was not working. When I got there, it started working again! I went inside anyway to explain, it was late just before the holidays, he looked at my window right then and there, explained what might be going on, and I decided I will definitely be back if it quits all together. Thank you for being that shop that will handle my vehicles quirks!”
“just.. WOWi can honestly say i am so happy my dad told me to bring my car here. I haven been dealing with a on going issue with my car for years even brought my car to my dealership everyone always told me it was my struts i tried getting one fixed a few years ago but my car got worse i did not have money to fix my car until one day my car left me no choice as it started acting up and locking up while i was driving i brought my car here and they recommended i get new mounts and struts fast forward car came back and was still having the same issue even after the struts were replaced i was so frustrated and discouraged thinking i was never going to get this issue resolved and that i was going to get stuck paying for things to keep getting fixed without the problem being resolved i was scared because after fixing the car and it still being the same i was hopeless and in a hole But let me just say when Scott say's his work is guaranteed they are not lying! They were the most honest kindest people i ever dealt with at a shop they will not scam you or trick you or make you think you need things fixed that are not the problem they actually listened to me when i told them something was still not right they did not leave me high and dry with this problem he was never once rude or frustrated towards me this car and it was hard to diagnose but this man went out his way to make sure he found the problem and fixed it on his own dime to reassure me i was in good hands NEVER in my life have i ever dealt with such amazing customer service down to his staff and his wife Lynn who always kept me updated and so quick and polite wither her responses! I've always been scared to bring my car to places due to being screwed over in the past by places no these people i would 1000% recommend this place to everyone with confidence if you are looking for a honest reasonable trustworthy place to bring your car THIS IS IT! Look no where else i will never bring my car to another place again besides here 10/10 highly recommend i will forever be grateful for Scott and son's and all that they did for me. My car was a pain in the butt but the did not give up! And words cant describe how thankful i am for all that they did for me. Scott & Sons or NOTHING ! do not bring your car nowhere else!”

“I lived within walking distance for 10 years so they became my mechanic by default. I will say that they were much more than just convenient. They were always so good to me. The staff was always friendly, especially Kevin at the front desk. There are few people in the car sales/repair business that I would EVER be happy to see and he was always cheerful and knew all the regular customers like family. The repair work was always done quickly and done well. If I didn't need something, they were always honest about it. They knew I was a repeat customer so they treated me fairly because they knew I would keep coming back to them - they were never looking to make as much money off me for that one repair, they just wanted my car to run right! They were always fair with the price and they were helpful and honest if I just needed advice about an issue with my car.They were always realistic about their schedule as well and if they had to put me off for a few days because they were busy, I went into the book and they took care of me when they said they would. Communication was always great too. I never had to chase them to find out what was happening as they would call with updates.Car repairs are never something you want to have to deal with. Crappy service compounds that. No matter what the issue was, even if I dreaded having an issue with my cars, I never dreaded taking my cars there. I can't say that about many other places. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend, even if they're out of the way.”

“We got a recommendation for Dave's Auto Machine to work on our X50 Volvo. Dave is amazing. We showed up at 5:55pm (he closes at 6) and he took the time to talk to us, look at the car and give us invaluable information. He knew what was going on with our car's turbo, so he referred us to his friend's place, Anything Automotive. He said Jeff, Adam or Mark would be able to help fix our turbo. They were so awesome. We spoke with Mark. He checked out our car, got the parts ordered and fixed it in less than a week for $650. FIRESTONE had it for over a month and quoted us 2500. When we went to Dave's Auto Machine, he said he just had a customer who came from Firestone with a similar issue (they are less than a mile from each other). Hope this helps.”

“Brought my s4 in because it was dumping fuel and misfiring. Nick found that it was a bad crank case right off the bat. All he asked for was a down payment for the part. I had to wait a month but it was worth it. He took it in, replaced the crank case. Took it for a drive and was still misfiring on cylinder 3. He checked the spark plug and it was not the right plugs for the stage 2 tune I have on the car. He replaced it with a stock but informed me and helped me get the right ones. When I picked up the vehicle he explained everything he did, very informative and genuine. He is very experienced with tuned vw Audi vehicles. I recommend vw Audi owners rt’s over eurodesign any day!”

Advice to owner: Sell black full front zipper hooded sweatshirts with big logo and location of Gordie's in back and little logo on front chest for $30 to $35. Other shops sell them and it's a huge advertisement for them!”
“Rear drum brake pads broke due to rust right before a long journey. Joe fit me into an already busy schedule on the same day and worked very hard to take apart the rusted drums and replace the pads. On a test drive to make sure the car was safe to drive, the brake lines also started leaking and Joe added an extra hour to fix that on the spot. The car was not easy to work with but Joe went out of his way to make it reliable again. He is honest and does not overcharge. He really saved me a lot of trouble this week!”
