My friend and I visited and did a 2-hour ride over this past weekend. The trail was really fabulous, and it was time well-spent with really beautiful scenery - especially through the woods during this time of year. You do go at a very slow pace the entire time, but I also understand why from a safety and training perspective.
The only non-positive experience that stuck with us was at the beginning of the ride, they teach you how to control the horse and say that it's OK to gently kick your horse with your boot if you need to control them (as they're big animals, and it does not hurt them). I in particular got a horse that likes to go at a slow pace. That said, I was told by the instructor at the front to (gently) whack the horse with the saddle strings AND kick with my feet if I needed to get the horse to go faster - so I did that, and then the instructor (same one that gave the instructions before we got going) in the back yelled at me. I even said to the instructor at the front, "Ok, you're saying do this, and the other is saying don't - I don't know what I'm supposed to do." Consequently, my friend and I were uncomfortable, and I was frustrated.
My only constructive feedback would be around the consistency of instruction. Nonetheless, I'm still giving 4 stars because it was a great path, and it's evident the instructors and owners are very knowledgable and genuinely care about the horses there. It was clean, open, and the horses were obviously very well-kept. I would definitely go back and do it again.

Wonderful caring staff and such gentle patient horses. I highly recommend a trail ride at Cornerstone Ranch. Yay to Hercules and Dusty! Picture is of me on Hercules!

I feel very lucky to have found this place! I leave every lesson with so much knowledge that I apply at home with my own horse. I'm already seeing immense improvement after just 3 lessons. It's incredible the amount of information they pack into a 30 minute lesson. There's such an emphasis on good horsemanship and communication between horse and rider, it gives me so many tools to put in my toolbox.
The horses are all round and happy!

Great experience at Cornerstone Ranch! Took a 1 hour trail ride with my kids and had a great time. The staff were well organized and made everything super easy and safe. Nice slow stroll through wooded trails on some beautiful animals, perfect break from the city. Wish it could have lasted longer :-)

My boyfriend (now fiancé) and I had such a memorable experience at Cornerstone Ranch! Susan went above and beyond to assist him in creating the engagement of my dreams! I had the pleasure of riding Frick for our trail ride and Josh on Blue. Our wrangler Ebbe was very kind, compassionate, and friendly! All of the staff members at the facility were wonderful! The horses are all beautiful and well cared for, we really enjoyed our picnic after the trail ride which consisted of homemade quiche, homemade kombucha, and an assortment of charcuterie. Everything tasted delicious. Susan did a fantastic job coordinating with my boyfriend and even offered her gorgeous property to us to come back and have our wedding there if we wish which was an extremely kind gesture! We drove in from NJ. We will always cherish Cornerstone Ranch and we cannot wait to come back in the future! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! ❤️???

This family business in rural Princeton is a great success. They offer a variety of programs with horses and the animals have lots of room and are very well cared for. Over time I've seen them make improvements, such as better signage (with an authentic ranch posts and an arrow like in Wyoming) and an indoor space for activities when it's raining so I know they're doing alright.
