We came up and stayed here for Women's Week. It was close to perfect for us. Service was great, location could not have been more perfect. Would love them to get new beds but they were fairly comfortable. The pool is delightful inside for an old lady like me after walking around Provincetown all day! Loved this place and will come from North Carolina to stay again!

Room was advertised for 2 people but the bed was only good for 1 person. Bed was very uncomfortable. Second person would need to use the sleep sofa which was even worse, very hard with metal springs pushing up, impossible to sleep. View was of a pool with green/brown water and rusty edges, looks like an abandoned property. Can see other windows and no privacy, need to keep curtains closed. The shower head was very low, maybe good for someone 5'5 feet tall, but not taller, and very low pressure, very uncomfortable. The worst part is that you can clearly hear people upstairs walking around, talking and watching TV. By far the worst hotel I've ever been to, definitely not worth $150 per day.

The room was tiny and old. Expected and requested a efficiency. What we got was a kitchenette which is not the same. Not up to ADA compliance in the room we had. Also their private beach was disgusting. Not maintained at all and not accessible for mobility issues. We ended up going to a public beach. Apparently toilet paper is difficult to obtain. We were given a form to request more toilet paper. Really! We left a whole day early. The brochure does not reflect what reality is. Also only certain units have air conditioning. If you decide to stay here ask for pictures of the actual room your staying in is my suggestion.

There are much nicer places for the same cost. Room smelled of stale beer. Rugs were sticky and stained. Beds were uncomfortable and linens stained. Pillows old and stained. TV was tiny, like laptop screen. Bathroom was clean and look recently redone, but the rest was awful. A/C was terrible and no A/C in rooms by the water. Driving distance to most attractions where parking is $20-$30. Hotel has no shuttle service.

The room was very dirty as you can see, there were hair, debris, and the A/C filter was very dirty and smelly, unhealthy. The washroom apart from the dirty, had an exhaust fan that was super noisy as you can see in the video i attached. I told the front desk and they just stared at me and didn’t say anything, as if it was something normal. We understand it’s expensive in summer because of popularity but it should at least be clean.

The best part of this hotel for sure was the view--we stayed in the back building and it was stunning. Each bayside unit has its own large balcony with lots of privacy. You're right on the water and nothing obstructs the view. The rooms didn't have air conditioning. I personally did not find this to be a problem because there are breezes coming in right off the bay and I was never hot. But some of the people in my party did consider it somewhat of an inconvenience, so heads up.In my experience the front desk was not terribly responsive--we needed it twice. First, on the last night there our fire alarm went off at 5am. When we called to report it no one answered. It is too big of a place to not have a 24 hour front desk. When I finally got someone in the morning they didn't seem too bothered by it and said I should have called maintenance, which is not the best answer. The second time we needed them we asked for a late checkout and came through on that so that was nice.On the whole I really enjoyed this experience and found it to be a wonderful stay.Rooms: The room I stayed in was in the back building. It had a Murphy bed that was surprisingly comfortable. There was a kitchen with utensils and plates and cups and everything, and a stove and toaster oven. The rooms had absolutely stunning unobstructed views of the bay. Although there was no air conditioning I did not find this to be a problem because the breezes from the sea were very strong.Nearby activities: The hotel is right on the beach so there is great access. It also has a lot of facilities for people to use--indoor and outdoor pools, grills, picnic tables, multiple cornhole setups. Lots to do.Walkability: I loved how blissfully quiet this place was. No sounds but the waves and the breeze and the occasional laughter in the background. If you want to be in the hub of everything, this isn't the place for you.

The location was best part of this whole resort. The rooms were gross and hot. We had no AC unit and when we asked for an additional fan, we were told “no we are full”. The encounter was puzzling. The walls were thin and you could hear everything going on . . the entire night. So if you’re looking to get some shut eye, do not go to the Sandcastle Resort.Rooms: The walls to the rooms are extremely thin. We were next to a couple who yelled all night long.Safety: There aren’t is any reflective / bright color edges to the 3rd floor stairs near room 300. If water hits the rugs on the stairs, you could slip and miss a step. They also had no safety cones near the small projects they were working. (Ex: pipes sticking out of ground).Noteworthy details: The rooms were humid and the carpet felt strange.

When we arrived, they had switched the room I was told I would be in AND we were told we were on a different floor. We specifically requested the 3rd floor when we paid in advance and they tried to put us on the second floor when we arrived. The front desk attendant explained that someone else was staying longer, thats why they changed the room. Not cool, especially when we fully paid in advance. “Supposedly” all rooms on that floor are the same, at least they we able to move us to the correct floor. The carpet felt sticky, I wore my sandals while in the room. The rest of the room looked and smelled clean. Murphy bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Plenty of cable channels. The chaise chair to sit on the ocean view balcony was broken. The beach was beautiful because it is the Cape. Probably would stay here as a very last option.

I'm not recommending this hotel , my small room did have AC and that was so good BUT the air smelled like mildew. And no elevator so get ready to haul your bingo gs up to roomI also had my friends in another room and the negative was no AC and it was hot inside, they did have a great porch with view of oceanWe all loved going to the beach

I typically don't like writing long reviews because I don't like reading long reviews. But I will make an exception this time in hopes that this will help others to avoid getting scammed like we did.Let's start with the good. Spacious room. Large balcony. Big pool. That's it.Now here's the bad. What qualifies the lodging establishment to call itself a resort? Whatever it is, this place is not! This place is old and badly maintained. A lot of war and tear. The netting on the balcony door was ripped. Doors, shelves, bathroom had a lot of dents and scratches. Entry door was really hard to pone from the outside. Even though they advertise themselves as being in Provincetown, they are really not. They are on the side of the road not far from Provincetown. The rooms have no air conditioner. And I realize that this might not be an issue for the most of the year in Cape Cod. However, we were there during the week when the temperatures peaked over 85 and it was brutal. To help the situation. Each room has a fan installed on the wall. However, it only helps if both the front door and the balcony door are open to create a breeze. On top of that our fan was broken. We saw many residents having their doors wide open to avoid extreme heat. The hotel does not provide "DO NOT DISTURB" signs. But it didn't matter. We were not disturbed at all. For the three days we stayed there we have not had a single maid service in our room. There was however an envelope for the tip and the question typed on it "How did you like I will maid service?"NO BEACH WHATSOEVER! All they have is a deserted coastline that you're allowed to swim in, that is covered with rotten seaweed in the dead oyster shells. You have to drive and pay for the parking on other beaches if you want to take a swim. This is the first place where you are required to wash dishes before you leave the room in order to avoid being charged extra. Don't get me wrong. We do that anyway. However, I was not ever threatened with the extra charge if I do the work that a cleaning staff supposed to do.And here is the best part: it costs over $500/night to stay there.Stay away from this place!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very unsoundproofed and clearly heard the sound of walking upstairs and toilet flushing. The room was exceptionally small, and the noise of the fridge in the supplies woke me up countless times at night. I don't understand why there is such a service and room for this price! It's just ridiculous!
