I rarely review anything - but feel compelled to let people know about A-1 Battery and its unbelievable owner Tommy. I went to see them looking for a starter for my boat. Unfortunately, due to a mistake on my part, Tommy thought he was sold out. I ended up purchasing my starter somewhere else. Through a series of mishaps there was a misdiagnosis that the starter I purchased elsewhere was defective. I went back to A-1 looking to buy a new one from them. Long and short - Tommy assured me my starter (bought elsewhere) was fine and refused to make a sale. He walked me through the steps to diagnose the problem - which was easily corrected. Tommy went above and beyond (I'm leaving out how because it's well beyond what anyone should ever expect) to help me out - and didn't take a penny from me. He's an incredibly good man. I am now a customer for life and you should be too!

Kirby helped me out! I had a specific need (battery for a backup generator), he understood what it was, he talked me through it, and they took care of me!

Called them up, they said bring it in. My battery was shot and they fixed it in like 30 minutes while I hung out in the car. Great service, the very best around. Will never bring it in to a dealer again.

They just helped me figure out the battery level of my two 12V marine batteries! They were quick, nice, and funny! Best of all, they did the service free of charge! I really enjoyed my time at A-1 Battery! I will certainly be back for all my battery needs!

I went today for battery change and what a great experience that was with Tommy at A-1 Battery & Electric in Quincy.Tommy is outstanding. He is professional, knowledgeable, efficient with great sense of humor. Also place was very neat and organized.It was fast and easy with great conversation.Definitely will be back.
