I am my fathers P.O.A. They refused to give me bank statements going back a year. This is the second time I asked. The first time was when I brought him in there in Nov.( in his wheelchair) They told me they would mail them to me. I got his checks but no statements. I had to pick them up and I live an hour away. The brunette was very nice. The blonde woman has refused to help me three times. My father is changing banks as soon as possible. They shouldn’t have her representing them. She has a nasty attitude.

All I have to say is perfection. Cathy is attentive to your needs, and she has been so nice since day one. Cathy and her team responded promptly every time I had a question/concern, they are true professionals at what they do, and I couldn't ask for a better team. They made my dreams come true. Everything was meant to be. I highly recommend Colonial Federal Savings Bank!!!

They rejected my 4 year old daughters stimulus check because she isn't on the account. When I called they didnt help at all, told me to call the IRS even though it is the bank that rejected it. I don't think a bank could be less helpful and I plan on changing banks asap.

Just in the Holbrook branch to get some help with a verification issue on one of my credit cards which they have done for me in the past and it was embarrassing how little anyone of them wanted to help me as a customer of over 20 years. How hard is it to make a call and check my license. I took my stuff said thank you and left. Like I said i felt embarrassed for them with no one else in the branch and could take the time to help me with a simple problem. Time to move to another bank I guess.

A terrific local neighborhood bank! The staff is friendly and they know their customers by name. Can't get that at Bank of America! Trust me, I have been a big bank customer and nothing beats the personal service in the loan department and customer service reps in the bank. It is nice to know solid community banking still exists!

Love this bank! I've been a Colonial Federal customer for 20+ years. The staff are wonderful. Always easy to talk to and incredibly helpful. It's such a nice neighborhood institution. I've had checking/savings accounts and worked with them for mortgages, refinances, and car loans. Each experience with their team has been great.

Had a very positive experience applying for a loan here. Banker we dealt with was pleasant and informative. We were in and out in 5 minutes, and notified we had gotten the loan the next day.

Shame on Colonial Federal. My girlfriend, whom has a serious case of epilepsy, lives off her measly $750 SSDI check. In an attempt to find a job she was scammed by an alleged company that would hire her for data entry. They sent her a Bank Certified Check and told her to deposit it into her account and proceed to use the money to buy the equipment necessary to do the job. She was so happy that she had found a job that it never occurred to her that this was a scam from the beginning. Colonial Federal cleared the full amount of the check. $3500. Keep in mind that she had never had a check other than her $750 hit the account. Keep in mind that banks never clear the entire check. Most banks free up $100-$200 before they verify the check. She withdrew the money and sent it off to supposed vendors. 2 days later the bank told her it was a fake check and that she had to return the funds. They took everything in the account that was legitimate. $750. They threatened and intimidated her into signing a repayment contract. They told her if she didn't sign the contract they would not only sue her but they would file criminal charges for fraud. As her only form of income is her SSDI check the bank violated Federal Law. Her check is protected. They cannot touch an SSDI check. FACT. They have no legal rite to it. I had her send the check to another Bank. Colonial Federal turned around and sued her in small claims court. Scumbags. They have already taken $2200 from her. Tomorrow is small claims court. Tomorrow Colonial Federal will not only lose but they will be told to return the $2200 they illegally took from her. On a moral basis. What kind of bank would do this to a disabled girl who lives off of $750 a month. They cleared a check for $3500 when it should have been flagged as know check other than her $750 had ever hit the account. We are talking years here, Never have I seen a bank clear that type of amount overnight. If you have morals and believe in what is right vs. wrong you will never do business with Colonial Federal. They are the lowest form of scum that exists and that will become fact tomorrow. UPDATE- Colonial Federal lost in court as her check is indeed protected but there is a twist. The magistrate told my girlfriend they get to keep the $2200. My girlfriend will file a claim agains Colonial Federal for the money they illegally took from her. If this clown of a magistrate does not smarten up we will request the case be seen before a judge. This is a no brainer. They illegally took her money. It was there job to make sure the check was protected. They didn't or maybe they did. Regardless they lied to her and threatened her into signing a repayment contract. The $2200 they took was protected and thus she deserves a repayment under federal law.
