Big scoops and wallet friendly, this Quincy institution brings together nostalgia and classic ice cream flavors. The ice cream is pretty standard - no crazy flavors and none of the extra creaminess you get from freshly made ice cream. However, it still hits the spot in a hot day when you want to hit up an old school ice cream stand. They have a few parking spaces in the front but it can be tough to navigate on a busy day.

Truly an institution in Quincy. I’ve been here since I was a kid and they still serve the best soft serve in the South Shore. The unfortunate thing is that they only have teenagers manning it with no adults in sight, so the line moves at a snails pace. They have a horrific manual system of writing down each order instead of a POS system so what should take less than five minutes usually becomes 20 minutes. Honestly if the ice cream wasn’t this good I would go somewhere else because the wait is really aggravating.

I love going to Dairy Freeze for my favorite Orange Sherbet Cone.... I have tried other flavors but Orange Sherbet is so tasty and creamy and when every I can go grab a cone I will. Sometimes the lines are super long but it's worth it... the service has always been great and a great location to pull over and grab a cone.

One of the best ice cream i’ve ever had locally. They were pretty short staffed when I went but the girl who made my ice cream, Bridget, was such a sweetheart and did an amazing job. More staffing would be nice but the pricing was pretty decent, I will definitely be coming back again.

Absolutely delish ice cream! I got the hard serve cookie dough in a kid's size cup. Good portion for great value! Hope to try the food soon since I only tried the ice cream?

Depending on the time you go, staff can be amazing! Some are very high-school classic shrug off ish, and it makes it uncomfortable.Decent icecream and good flavors with seasonal ones

The lines are a bit confusing since they don't follow the signs anymore. But they sell Richardsons ice cream so it's always delicious!!

It is so great to get the opportunity to support a local, small business that provides a high quality product at a value price. Okay, it is really about indulging in a customized delicious ice cream. Dairy Freeze has good selection of flavor and menu options. They also have a small food menu but I have never been able to resist an ice cream in favor of a meal.

Went there today, watched as the kid was making my razzle and saw liquid fall from his mouth to where my ice cream was. Aka HE SPIT in the ice cream. I called him out on it and he says no I didn't and goes to hand me the razzle. My response was ok ill be taking that to the police station and he pulls it back and remakes it. Don't go here unless you want a spit special especially when there's other places that have better ice cream close by.

I came here for the first time and it was great! This is a cute walk-up stand with good choices of both hard and soft serve ice creams! The "cherry" on the top was the prices and customer service! The small and large prizes started at around $4.50! I don't know about you all, but where are you finding an ice cream business serving ice cream that cheap? Finally the staff were so friendly! I will definitely come back!
