“Let’s be real, dealing with ANY type of insurance—car, health, home—is stressful enough. But buying a house built in the 1850s? Apparently, that adds a whole new level of fun 😂 We recently purchased an older home and quickly learned that finding affordable homeowners insurance was going to be an adventure of its own. Between the crazy-high quotes and the unexpected hurdles, it was definitely not the straightforward process we had imagined! We worked with Atlantic as our insurance broker. Everything seemed to be moving along until the insurance company they had placed us with raised concerns about our roof and suddenly didn't want to insure the house. That's when Bob, one of the owners of Atlantic, personally reached out to us. And this is where Atlantic really stood out! As homeowners who hadn't been through this process in a while, we were completely caught off guard by how much things had changed. Who knew insurance companies now come out to your house and take photos?! Clearly, we had some catching up to do! Rather than simply accepting the insurance company's decision or telling us to find another policy, Bob and the Atlantic team went to bat for us. The person we dealt with made plans with us to schedule another consultation the following Monday as we sat down late on a Friday. After a few stop and starts they came through for us and helped us purchase much needed car insurance. A Mr. Erik Coggins. He's one of the best.
