About Nickerson Beach
Nickerson Beach is a hidden gem located in a not-too-crowded area. The beach offers beautiful views of the Boston harbor and skyline, making it a popular spot for watching sunsets. The rocky shore provides opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and photography, though the area may not be the best for swimming due to the strong tides. Visitors can explore the trails that lead to various spots along the ocean, including a sandbar that can be accessed at low tide. However, caution is advised as the tides can rise quickly, potentially stranding those who attempt to walk to nearby Thompson Island. While the parking situation may be slightly confusing at first, the beach is generally a quiet and peaceful destination for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Not an improved area. Trail down to the beach but we didn't want to climb the last few feet. Found the Cairn for Miles Standish landing.
Beautiful area.

Nice place to watch the sun setting over Boston. Not too crowded, even on a Friday night. If you visit in the summer, bring bug spray.

I dont think i explored all of it yet, but theres a nice little hike that trails off to a lot of different little spots by the ocean. Makes for a fun adventure, but if your not into that theres also a beach walk along the road, and a field close to the parking area.
