Stop and Shop delivery service is terrible. I used to order weekly and every order was missing items. Customer care would refund me for those but what's the point of ordering when I would have to go grocery shopping for the missing items. Attention Stop and Shop: Pork loin is NOT a substitute for London broil!Also, Delivery was ALWAYS late. 6 - 8 AM delivery window meant 10 AM. Food would sit in the hallway outside my door for hours. Don't tip in advance: Your supporting laziness.Last delivery never arrived at all. 6 - 8 AM delivery. Called at 10 AM to ask when it would arrive. Called back at 3:40 PM to ask again and was told that it was delivered to the wrong address. Customer care placed a reorder for the next day. I was billed for both deliveries. UPDATE: 2 weeks and 5 phone calls to Stop and Shop customer 'care' and still have not been refunded for my missing delivery. Each time I call and explain the rep agrees I am due a refund but it never happens. Still have two charges on my credit card.

I ordered many items that were on-sale. I completed the checkout and then got billed for the full price of all of the items after my order was delivered the following day. I contacted Stop & Shop Peapod online using their "Report an Order Issue" and listed the items that were on-sale (which I got charged full price for). I never received a response even through after clicking submit it said someone would get in touch with me within 24 hours. Two days later I submitted another request through their "Report an Order Issue" and again, nobody has contacted me or issued the refund after several days. Peapod by Stop & Shop customer service is severely lacking. They have responded to issues in the past but they certainly are not responding now. I've decided to switch to another grocery delivery service because I'm extremely disappointed with them and their terrible customer service.

PEAPOD has been my delivery service for over 11 years..Used to be outstanding.Now they have expanded and the customer service is terrible.Been hung up on many times..Had to call in for food delivered that was mildew and covered with mold...Much of the fruit like apples andpinneaple are turning soft-brown at the bottom..Have to throw it out.They are overbooked and often keep waiting for on-line pick upfor almost 30 This minutes and. then a click and disconnect.This is not a Covid problem..That i understand..This is summer of 2023!!On-line customer service always says if there is a tech glitch which hashappened many times it must be my fault and it comes from mycomputer which is an Apple and bought last year...At night the site has been down or crash at least 2-3 times per month.My computer is fine..They said tech would certainly fix it..Now it is over 3 weeks and nothing has been done..They say' well come into the store..I would if I had a car..All of my food now comes from old warehouses andcan only hold 1/3 of retail food..So every week there are items that arenot available...basic items ...Stop & Shop-which owns Peapod used tobe outstanding..It has turned into a bit of a nightmare now,,So much sub-standard food (fresh produce and dairy) has expired dates..Almost a month and still waiting for Tech to fix the website(march 3-March 24-2023)

Delivery service has become completely unreliable. Up to an hour late 5 deliveries in a row. Instacart is always on time from other stores like Wegmans, Price Chopper, market 32. Stop and Shop does not seem to care to respond to customer requests for an explanation.

My online order was $130 and the store over charged me $152. Sorry But $22 is a big differenceCall the store and assistant manager John McLean had a bad attitude and addressed me by yelling at me instead of explaining why I was over charged. I called Corporate and they are as useless as the assistant manager. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. YOU STOLE MY MONEY BUT THIS IS THE LAST TIME. ALSO REPORTING PEAPOD TO THE BBB. SADLY DISAPPOINTED

HORRIBLE , spent 2 days and many hrs just trying to place an order ... transferred to 5 diff people and now can't even sign in to see my order never mind place it ... don't know how they still survive . Only good is customer service is pleasant tho not able to help

Stop & Shop delivery is now by Instacart, where I live (whatever happened to PEAPOD?) and unfortunately this is the second order Instacart didn't bother to deliver - when the S&S customer service rep contacted Instacart about not delivering the excuse was that they could not verify the address (even though they had delivered here before) the second excuse was that S&S had not shopped my order (but my order was shopped and an invoice issued at least 15 minutes before the beginning of my first 1 hour time slot at 12:00 noon). S&S also sent me a text @ 8:25 pm (after Instart had also not delivered during the 2nd time slot of 6:00-7:00 pm) with a link to Instacart to get the status of my order which was marked "COMPLETED" - but how could it be "COMPLETED" if it had never been delivered! Then Stop & Shop still charges my credit card even though they are very well aware of the non-delivery and then they tell me it will take 5-10 days to reverse it! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I also asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that I would be contacted within 24-48 hours. Then when contacting them about charging my credit card for groceries that were never delivered I was told that the time frame for a supervisor to contact me was in business hours/days, therefore 3-6 business days (not 24-48) hours! Actually, they should reach out to their customers immediately after not filling a delivery order - the customer should never have to request a call! This is not the first time I have had Instacart not deliver but it is definitely the last!

I have been ordering online for a couple of years now, since right before Covid. I like the convenience of having groceries delivered and with a pod pass the delivery fee is not that much. Most of the drivers are very polite and they are almost always on time. When they are not on time I get a call to let me know there will be a delay. Occasionally I will have a missing item or receive the wrong item but customer service is always quick to reimburse me for anything missing and it is not something that happens often. I do wish they had more selection. For some reason there are things you can buy in my local store in person but can not get them delivered. There has only been one time that whoever bagged my order did a really bad job, and my cooked deli meat was covered in the blood of raw meat that had leaked all over it and should not have been bagged together. But this was one occasion out of 2 years of shopping and they did reimburse me so I continue to use their service.

It's understandable that prices go up due to the cost of fuel. The price on food is absolutely ridiculous in your stores. First of all, most employees were furloughed during the strike and replaced with self checkout because of corporate greed. Second. If im doing all the work myself and getting gouged at the same time, doesn't it make sense to lower the prices so it can be more affordable? You don't employ many people and have a useless robot that only gets on your way.

The worst in customer service. I accidentally put 342 cranston street instead of 324 cranston street. Immediately after the order, i changed the address on file and all was well. OR so i thought. They still tried to deliver to 342 cranston street even though it's an abandoned building a few buildings over from me. my phone and email don't work so there was no way to get a hold of me. the truck didnt stop and check it out. he just kept going. so now i have to wait weeks for a refund and starve in the mean time. i have no money, you fools! how am i gonna shop now?

Too many times now I've received dairy products that went bad in a few days. They send you items that aren't fresh. Milk spoils after 3 days. Deli ham was sour and made me sick since it wasn't old and I didn't realize it was bad. The cheese turns green molded after a week They constantly run out of things.
