Grew up in this neighborhood, as a kid I used to jump off the docks and swim. 70 years later we attended our great nieces wedding shower and nothing really changed. Downside is, unless your attending a function you have to be a member. I am not a member but when I went into members downstairs bar while the ladies were upstairs I was welcomed by several pleasant members. Great yaught club even if you don't have a boat.

This location was perfect, I didn't expect the venue to be updated and modern. The bartenders were freaking amazing. The drinks were perfect and affordable. Highly recommended... Beautiful outside deck and patio on the second floor overlooking the ocean.

QYC has great special events throughout the year. Potluck Pats parties, Halloween, Mother's and Father's Day breakfasts, cookouts, etc. They are usually looking for new members. Just drop by or call and ask to talk to someone about joining. Cash bar. Gorgeous views. Wide outside deck. Beautifully redone hardwood floors inside.

In God's own country - Hough's Neck. One hidden gem for anyone who doesn't know this place which ends into one of the Boston Harbor Islands - The Nut Island. QYC is synonymous with the Necka's for a few things... Kids playing around after school before they head home, the chowdah fest that happens once in the middle of the summah, and Steve's freshly caught lobster's right off his boat every Friday through Saturday (between 3pm and 6pm - while supplies last) in season. Also, sometimes on Sundays between 12 - 3pm. The banners go up accordingly on Sea St near the intersection of Babcock where the stone of "welcome to Hough's Neck" is. Of course during the warmer months, most of the locals manage to find spots with chairs, umbrellas and coolers to enjoy the blissful, salty, sea breeze. Those who grew up here and are seeing their kids grow up here now, enjoy the occasional dip in the cool Atlantic right off of the pier. My draw to QYC is during the summer weekends when I try to feast off of some of the Best lobsters I have had in my life yet - at dirt cheap price too. They sell off real fast because everyone is eating lobsters in the Neck in season - because these crustaceans off Steve's boat are out of this world. If you are ever in my NECK of the woods, do stop by and see if you are lucky to grab some! Enjoy...
