I generally do not shop at Stop & Shop. I find their prices are much higher than some of the other stores even on sale items. Today I went in and purchased polar beverages which are on sale ostensibly for the 4th of July weekend. I got a bit of a culture shock when I realized that they charge for paper bags. Perhaps that's the wave of the future but with the profit margin they're working on and the prices that they offer they can absorb the prices of the bags.

We ordered cupcakes for a baby shower. Cupcakes have never impressed me. These impressed me and everyone who ate them! I can’t tell you how happy we are with our decision to use Stop and Shop! So well done! Beautiful to look at even better to eat! The only regret is that we didn’t order more! They went like hotcakes! You are my cupcake place now!!! Thank you! You exceeded my expectations!
I added the butterfly toppers- they were edible.

Stop & Shop has always carried a limited inventory, you can't find everything as in other stores. The only thing that I like there is the bakery, good sandwich rolls.

This has to be the worst Stop & Shop in America. Every time I have to go here to get something I dread it and I leave frustrated. The produce is often sparse and frequently there is hardly any of the fruit you need on the shelf. Submit an online order for catering and it’s gets lost somewhere and never makes it to the employees. Items are out in the cold section expired such as almond milk, which had been expired over 2 weeks when I went. Sale stickers are up that have been expired for a week or longer and you don’t find out until the register. Employees are not helpful or pleasant to deal with (some). The worst is the guy stocking the dairy shelf who is always obnoxiously smashing boxes together right next to me as I’m trying to get my items.

Cashiers are rude. You tell them you don't care how many bags to charge. Make sure cold is with cold and they bag everything together. They don't listen. Happened many times.
