I had a small but tough job to do -- transport an antique 300lb+ cast iron bath tub from a refinishing shop in Watertown to my home in Boston, then cart it up 2 flights of stairs to the bathroom. Other moving companies nervously quoted me for a truck with 4 movers before backing out altogether, worried that they wouldn't be able to navigate the stairs and hallways with the tub. Smart Penny Moving sent a truck with just 2 guys, and somehow made the job look easy. The tub traveled from street level to the 2nd floor in under a minute! Amazing. Plus, the process for communication and payment was streamlined, the guys arrived exactly when they said they would, and they offered the best price of any company I called. During my long-distance move from Boston to Washington DC, the crew placed it gently inside the truck where it would not get too cold. They even rolled down the truck door slowly so it would not shake. I know it sounds silly, but that kindness made a stressful day easier.”

“I had to move my elderly mother across the country on very short notice. R.C. Mason Movers was able to fit us in and worked with me to make the experience less stressful than it already was. I got quotes from 5 of the well known national movers and went with Atlas after going over the quote with Adam from R.C. Mason. The actual movers were very friendly and professional.
Everything arrived in good shape and the final cost ended up about $1,000.00 less than the estimate.
I did extensive research before making the final decision and I'm happy to say it paid off.

“We had a very positive experience with Home Team Moving — it was fantastic from start to finish. I called several different companies for quotes and Ben was the only one who offered, actually insisted, that he come to house. He wanted to see exactly what the move would entail so he could give us an accurate quote. (I was annoyed to get quotes from other companies who had not even seen our home.) Ben came out the next day, walked thru the house, saw every floor, every room, opened every door. He immediately had suggestions for how to handle the move efficiently and with the least amount of stress. It was clear that he wasn’t just considering how to our stuff, but also how to help us handle the move emotionally. A day or two later he sent me an estimate with a breakdown and a proposed schedule. It was a helpful process that made me feel like we were in good hands.
We ended up spreading the move out over three days. The first day the team tackled the kitchen and helped me pack our basement, which included a large number of collectibles and memorabilia. It was an emotional day for me as I helped them remove and carefully pack the items. The team was supportive and positive and kept things moving along. We followed more of Ben’s great advice and stayed at a hotel the night before the move. Load in day had them dealing with icy conditions in the driveway, but the team was prepared and unfazed. Again, everyone was positive and efficient. They were constantly checking in about where we wanted things placed so we wouldn’t have to move anything after they left. We have moved MANY times over the last 20 years and this was by far the least stressful. It was actually kind of fun — great conversations, lots of laughter and kindness all around. We are thankful to Ben and the whole team for making it such a great experience.
FYI: we moved from a 3000sqft home to a 4000sqft within the same town.”
