this is the cutest little country store with a really fresh deli. I loved getting subs here when I was post partum and starving. Now I pick some subs up to bring to family parties. Ownership is so nice and helpful, and the selection is great. We love Chartleys and will come here forever!

Great meat 🍖 I love the teriyaki sausage and steak, meat quality so good ! Better than any supermarket meat , ( stop shop /Shaw /Wegmans Costco)

America was better in the days of the Penny Candy . Once this establishment lost its Penny Candy (most likely due to Insurance Related Reasons...) things have changed . A part of America Died the day Charles County Store retired its Penny Candy Sales .
Nowadays, I get Penny Meat . Though it is the smallest pieces of Meat known to Man, I do enjoy the Store's selection of Penny Meat . Some real If You Give A Mouse A Meat vibes .

We always buy our meats from Chartley's for the pass 3 years. They are a small hometown store with friendly staff, delicious meats & very clean store. I love that they support other small businesses & give back to their customers. I give them 5 stars!

Place is great but can’t give 5 stars. Went in to pick up a few things and was so busy that the store was overwhelming. The layout of the store as is is pretty overwhelming. So many people that you couldn’t get to any shelves. Especially the seasoning shelves because I love the fun salt. Unfortunately I ended up leaving and going to another store. Maybe next time I’m in the area (which is very rare) I’ll be able to get what I needed.

Great Meats. Better quality than any Supermarket in the area. Don't have to worry about stale, rotten, past expiration meat here.
