“I had been following Ravenstone’s events for awhile and I’m so glad I finally went! The store is amazing and the staff have a wonderful knowledge that they love to share! I can’t wait to go back!!!”
“Being my first time ever visiting Salem, I was In love with the culture and scenery of the town. I wasn't the biggest fan of the touristy shops I visited though. This was our last stop on our little day trip and I was blown away by the decor and beauty of the art being sold! T shirts, prints, and post cards (to name some products) all of which was original art from what I gathered and it was top notch, and priced respectably. The staff were the nicest I've met, really. The whole place made my day, and I will have their art on my wall! If lived in Salem I'm sure It would be a monthly treat to stop by the Black Veil. If you are planing to shop in Salem, I'd tell you this is the place you NEED to go first”
“The people that work here are so sweet and so cool! Everything here also just smells amazing and the store is so stunning inside! Definitely a must stop shop for anyone visiting Salem”
“I’ve been shopping here for years. There is never a shortage of options for thoughtful, unique and often local gifts. The store is a delight to explore and it is owned and staffed by delightful humans.”
“This is an amazing hole in the wall. Their inventory is surprisingly large given their size. Items are authentic and reasonably priced.I’m case anyone is looking — they do have mehindi cones!”
“Today I dropped in with my 5 year old son for the potion making event around 2pm. I was initially a little worried when we walked in because it seemed to be a little girly, but the staff made him feel like he was a VIP. He had a blast making his potion!!!!! I forgot the staff members name, but she was amazing with my son. He has not stopped talking about making his potion.”
“Excellent local spot for corporate gifts as well!I’m a lifelong Inman-ite and was very excited to work with them this year on office gifts. Mary and her team were so helpful and proactive with creating perfect gift bags for a team of 39. They rolled with every change I had to make and a pleasure to work with.Support local! Support Inman! Thanks so much albertine, I look forward to working with you again!”
“This store is amazing. If you’re even remotely a lover a maps, transit, cities, and railroad, you will struggle to leave without spending an unhealthy chunk of your salary. Totally worth it! You can spend an hour exploring their collection of stuff ?️”
“Absolutely adore this store - it's been such a great addition to downtown Melrose! I popped in the other day to buy a gift for my aunt and was really impressed with the selection. Found something for her (a beautiful candle) and a few smaller things for my kiddos. Will definitely be back as I'm shopping for holiday gifts for friends, family, teachers, etc.”

“We have been to Salem so many times, and somehow I never noticed this incredible shop until this past weekend, and now it is my new very favorite store! It is an absolute wonderland of beauty, and is filled with items to delight those of us with quirky little vintage souls. My whole family loved it so much that we stopped in, shopped, and returned a second time for a few more items when we were leaving. I'm already daydreaming about my next trip there so I can stockpile more whimsical wares!”
“I am a vendor with 4gv .. … …. With my products in two of their storesVery pleased with how these girls hustle. “I always stop in for jewelry to see what they have. Great assortment of items for all of your crystal and calming needs. Staff is very nice and have always been able to help with any of my questions and needs.”
“This was a great place to host a birthday party. Dani communicated all details prior to the event. During the party, she adapted the painting for the kids and added fun mixed media elements. She was engaged with them for the entire two hours and gave great, clear instructions. Everybody went home with a beautiful finished product and two kids even said it was the best birthday party ever! Thank you so much, Dani.”
“We got our Ketubah for our wedding from Kolbo. We loved the selection and variety to choose from. The staff was so helpful and patient with us. We especially appreciated Miriam's help proofreading our ketubah before printing. On other trips, we also got our breaking glass and a gorgeous Havdalah set too.”
“I walked into this shop with thought of getting a crystal for my room at home… Not knowing I would walk out after having a personal awaking and connection to a particular stone…The women there helped me realize what was happening and protected me through the experience. So kind, knowledgable, and comforting! Thank you again for hour guidance.”
“Bill and Lynn are amazing! My sister bought me my favorite ring there last summer, and I have been looking for an extra just in case. I reached out to them and they were good enough to give me plenty of options and ways to send it. I'm so happy to know I'll never have to be without my favorite piece of jewelry again. I highly highly highly recommend them, and their whole shop!”

“Love this store!! Better than the papers tore and the prices are much cheaper than the paper store. The staff are always so kind and considerate. A very happy place for all your card and special occasion needs.”
“I’ve shopped here for years and my most treasured clothing comes from here! The women who work in the store are so sweet, friendly, and helpful. They always remember me when I come in. I miss the old days when they sold furniture, but I love the children’s section and have found some great home decorations in the current setup.”
“This was my absolute favourite shop in Salem. So many lovely gift items and witches. I regret not buying more! And I bought a lot! Lovely owner and a lot less hectic experience than the shops in downtown Salem, much nicer wares also.”
“Perfect gem of a shop right in the middle of it all in downtown Salem. Loved all of the original designs that are the perfect blend of coastal and witchy (the ‘Gullwitch’ is my favorite). Everything is hand printed printed in Salem and the sweatshirts are soooooooo comfy. Really love this place for things you can’t find anywhere else in Salem!”

“This little gift shop is the best place to go for your quality gifts and recommendations! Dan (proprietor) couldn’t have been any more friendly, or helpful! We purchased a 100% cotton t-shirt, which was excellent quality. We were looking for pizza recommendations and Dan suggested; “Umberto’s,” and man oh man, was he spot on!This Boston Gift store has been here since the 1800’s - so you know they’re doing it right!Thank you Dan!”
“Hidden gem! What a great little store! Grabbed a few gifts to give during our Salem vaca. We found this because we made a reservation at Finz for lunch. Nice switch from the craziness in downtown Salem.”

“Was last minute holiday shopping and the woman helping us was so so lovely and went above and beyond to help us make our holiday great! So thankful for the amazing service!”
“Wonderful store, with an amazing selection of gifts, home goods, antiques, accessories, and more. Great service with employees who clearly care about the products, and do some of the best free gift-wrapping I’ve ever seen. A bonus: ask the shopkeepers about Nantucket baskets! This place also happens to be one of the best basket studios outside of the island. The owner is a master basket weaver who is well known on Nantucket.”

“Brett and Nanci of Memory Lamps are such lovely people. I have only ever ordered online from them, but each time they make special effort to ensure that everything is perfect and as intended when it arrives. The card selection they offer is so helpful and well written, especially for those times when you just can't find the right words. This is my go-to place for one-of-a-kind remembrance gifts. Thanks, Brett and Nanci!”
“I ordered some notecards and they are just perfect. The glittered touches are perfect. Only disappointment was not with the product but with the lack of communication regarding the confirmation and shipping of purchase.”
“Nice non-fruit-on-sticks medley of cookies, cupcakes, teas, coffees, and an insulated mug, delivered by a very nice gentleman who seemed honestly upset that he was bothering me - with goodies!”
