“This place makes the best chicken shawarma in Massachusetts hands down . The morrocan lady who makes the food is super nice . The place gets pretty busy so that's probably the reason why the cashier may not seem friendly. I e never had an issue there and I go alot . The owner seems like a bit of an clown but other then that the place is great”

“Absolutely excellent customer service. The owner delivered the spices I bought personally for me when I could not get there although they were not currently even delivering. This was exceptionally nice of him. They are super friendly and just great business people. The spices were completely authentic. Excellent taste. I highly recommend. Love this place.”

“looking for smoked sausage my mother bought from this store in 1990, they were the very best sausage. The family bought them by the boxes they are good for sandwiches, breakfast and all other dishes made from cabbage and sausage collard greens you name it.”

“I was looking for a fairly hard cut to get and of course, Savenor's could provide. It was a 3 lb lamb shoulder. Even my local butcher couldn't get it for me this time. I was thrilled to get it. I was getting a delivery from Savenor's (they deliver to Boston neighborhoods. Maybe other towns, but I don't know) and it came on time and the order was accurate. I wanted to get my order over $99 so I could have a delivery discount, so I added some meats I would usually buy anyways and I threw in a couple different types of sausages they make. The reason I feel motivated to write this review is because of the Chorizo they delivered. OMG!!! I think it may very well be the most delicious sausage I've ever had. Not kidding. So good! Can't wait to taste the lamb after we smoke it, shred it, put it on pita with feta, tzaziki I'll make, lettuce and some juicy tomatoes. I'm pretty sure the lamb will also be amazing. Get yourself to Savenor's if you're looking for interesting cuts of meat that the supermarkets don't have and for their amazing sausage.”

“In reality, I would give this 4/5, because (besides meat), the selection is extremely limited. However, their meat selection and the prices are strong enough to override any issues I have. Also, the staff are always so kind and nice. I love this place”

“I was recommended by a neighbor to come here for raw marrow bones for my dog, and was blown away the first time I went in. Beautiful grocery items as well as knowledgeable and super friendly staff. They even asked my dog’s size to make sure the bones were cut to a safe size. Its become a weekly staple for me and the cuts of meat are leaps and bounds better quality than even Whole Foods.”

“Sulmona Meat Market is in business and going strong. Myself and Bobby Pugliese would drive from Vermont to purchase whole hind quarters for our veal dishes at the Jamiaca ouse back in the mid 1970's and of course Dominic's famous homemade sausage. This is a testiment of how a quality meat shop stays open for decades after decades. Businesses come and go, but true quality of meats and service continues to this day. Congratulations on such an achievement!!!! Oakie”

“Okay, you first walk in and you see weird stuff like goat and sheep's heads. You smell the meat. The atmosphere is a little grimy, since it is parked right next door to Haymarket. The smell of funky cheese from a few doors down does not help. By far, this place does not look like much of anything. But first impressions are deceiving. This place is a hidden gem. The shop is over a hundred years old and it is a true, old school butcher. For the uninitiated, that means you are not going to find ground beef neatly packaged in styrofoam, but rather an "everything but the oink/moo/cluck/gobble/baa" mentality; they even will sell you a whole goat or sheep to roast on a spit. My advice is to stick around. I myself rave about this place because I got the perfect sized turkey for Thanksgiving, fresh kill, freshly butchered. It was succulent and excellent quality! Even if they don't have what you want in stock, they can get it to you within a few days, and again, they butcher EVERY MEAT OR FOWL KNOWN TO MAN. (You do have to verbally ask for some of their items, since the fridge is in the back as is where the butchering is done: they bring it to you.) They cater to both immigrant and local tastes, something Savenor's does not, and it is worth it-the Vietnamese guy gets his tripe to make pho, you get your prized rib roast, and the Puerto Rican walks out happily carrying a whole suckling pig she has carefully wrapped up to take home for Christmas dinner. Go on, give it a chance. Do what I did and go in advance for the holiday meal. Have your turkey or goose safely waiting for you and eat like a king while idiots fight over a frozen Butterball or a crown roast of meh from Shaw's. Poke at the goat meat, and then learn it tastes like lamb and actually would be a treat if used in a stew recipe. Go look up an old recipe of Julia Child's from the 1950's and realize that the foot of a cow was the old way to get gelatin and if all the instant stuff at the supermarket suddenly goes poof, you are going to be fine: the 100+ year old butcher shop that is older than Savenor's still has the foot, weird though that is.”

“Don't have time to cook?Want something good to eat that's ready to be warmed?Check out the selection of meats and seafood too. You can find a bottle of wine or beer to pair with everything.”

“This is our go-to for freshly butchered meats. It's not a full on grocery store, so it's a place to go for your full shopping list (paper products, cleaning things, etc) but it's worth it for the variety of proteins. Staff is very friendly and the butchers will take special orders if you call.”

“11/10 experience all around. Swung by the retail store and picked up North Shore Beef Tips, Chinese Chicken Thighs, and 2 cases of sausages and assorted other marinades etc: I’ve never seen 50+ lbs of meat disappear so fast and so many comments on the high quality delivered by Bianco’s”

“We go to AP all the time... the Dot location is cozy and the employees are off-the-charts nice. Quality of gourmet groceries, deli meats/cheese, and wine/beer/liquor selection are all phenomenal. I bought several people xmas gifts this year that were just little baskets full of things entirely from AP. Owner Matt went above and beyond when there was a mixup with something we ordered, dropping off a gift to our home. This is the sort of stuff that neighborhood patrons don't forget!”

“Great place to buy Brazilian food and snacks. Good prices on cuts for Brazilian BBQ, like picanha and ribs.Tip: If you are unsure how to season your BBQ meat, just ask them to do it for you or teach you how to use the rocky salt. There's a great variety of the essentials for the Brazilian cusine.”

“Hadn't been there since they moved off of Route one. Amazing sausage, selection, the mostly northern European style (no 'nduja, which I was hoping they'd have). Excellent Canadian bacon and, next time, will try their smoked pork chops. Prices reasonable.”

“This a.m., my wife and I decided to try Larry Levine's Kosher Meats, and buy corned beef sandwiches.Larry Levine's was recommended to us when we bumped into 2 acquaintances that had worked in Chelsea, back in the day. Chelsea was famous for several fabulous Jewish delis, and we couldn't find a good corned bee since. After ordering 2 sandwiches and pickles, I went to pay, only to find out that credit cards weren't accepted. I had no cash or checks on me! To my surprise , Mr. Levine told me he trusted me to come back and pay him when I'm in the area next.Who does that!! Where can you shop and have someone be so kind?Seriously....where??The sandwiches were delicious, and we will become regulars at Larry Levine's from here on.”

“I’ve been coming here for a long time. I have to say the new owners really cleaned up the place. It’s so bright and cheery and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Best steaks I’ve had in a long time.”

“Fantastic artisan sandwiches. The roast beef (deli style, not North Shore, nor Chicago) was incredible. The balance of flavors with the truffle, rosemary, and horseradish was a perfect combination. These were clearly high quality and carefully curated ingredients. The fact that it came with potato salad was a pleasant surprise bonus.Additionally, they sell a select amount of craft beer, local cheeses, and high-end wines too. Perfect to spend more money while you wait for your amazing sandwich to be prepared haha. The staff was also very inviting.”
