A wonderful state park that has been maintained very beautifully. Parking for out of state vehicle is 20$.There is small trail that you can walk around and enjoy all the scenic points and it makes it worth while. The ocean view was majestic . The cool breeze was such a breather.Definitely worth visiting if you are here.

This park is incredibly beautiful, a veiw from every direction. This park is the perfect length for walking, takes you from fields of flowers to a stunning lake and then to the ocean. I believe the lighthouse has beverages, which had already closed when we were there, so check for hours or bring your own water because it can be quite warm in the summer. Also, there is a fee for parking, cheaper for residents, and there are porta-potties there which are across from the park. And if you want to bring your furry friend, it is also dog friendly. We had no problem maneuvering strollers around the park except for the path to the beach, it is steeper and very sandy.I hope you all get a chance to go and enjoy the veiw.

Great spot for a small hike. It's very easy hike to get to the ocean point. Been here before at night for Stargazing! It's an amazing night if you like to hear the waves and just relax. There were few people fishing.Restrooms: There were porta potty at the parking lot. We haven't checked the visitor center though.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed, but must be on the leash.Picnic area: You can get your picnic blankets and enjoy some serene time by the ocean.

2023-07-20 fri, near the entrance, a dazzling sea of Black-eyed Susan.------2021-12-23 picked a cold (26F/-3c) and windy (10F/-12C) day to see and hear the high tide. If here, do walk down to the shore and meet the ocean.------The Quarry serenely alive. The point is majestic awe of Atlantic Ocean to eyes and ears.

What a great place. Fabulous history, quite educational, beautiful views and it's a easy walk.(however $20 for out of state guests.... We turned to walk away we had just paid $400 for 1 YES ONE night room on the beach an now parking gouging, the attendant let us pay the $5 for locals..) you can do the entire hike within 2 hours...

honestly this is one of those places that you just HAVE to visit if you are in the area. if you live here, you already know about it. it's a really nice place to take a walk, to hang out with friends, to meditate, to breathe, to listen. it's definitely not the place for tomfoolery or littering, so be respectful and careful on the massive pile of rocks that constitute the viewpoint.Restrooms: i think they have them but honestly i forgot.Dog-friendliness: pick up after your dog.

Very nice trails around the quarry and easy access to the rocky shore and tidal pools at low tide. Very nice place to take dog for the afternoon.

This park is fantastic. Walking on rocks and stones along the ocean, exploring tide pools, admiring the cairns, and passing time in the grassy tree area... It's all spectacular. Who doesn't love the quarry? Stunning.I last went a few years ago, and parking was a challenge, but it looks like they've added parking since. I can't wait to go back this summer!

Easy hike around the quarry to the ocean overlook. Parking is a bit pricey ($20 for non-Mass residents).

I've been coming to Halibut Point State Park for about 7 years now. Over the past couple years, a lot of work has been completed to clean up the trails and the location in general. In the summer, there are lots of wildflowers coloring the scene, and the view down by the water is just amazing. If you don't mind a walk back in the dark... Sunset down by the water, or up in the cliffs is an absolute must.
